Either works, depends which the applicator prefers and is better at.

personally I use a trowel, very little Excess lines left when I’m done. For the few tiny lines of excess, I wait about 20 mins and use a damp sponge to smooth away the excess.
Went ahead and tinted it, since the wall was already primed white.

Pretty much scraping off all excess, will do another layer if need be.

Edit: The walls are being painted grey, so I'm not too worried about covering the blue.

Went and bought myself an airless spray gun.
Was hesitant at first. But after measuring the paint and getting the knack it was a breeze.

26 sections. 4 hrs, 10l of paint.

Now to do the other side and then start back yard.

It looks good, but imo I would never paint a precast wall that isn't already painted before me

Nice!!

Thinking about going this route this weekend. R695 is worth the gamble. And at least We can do all the security gates and wife can start using it for her bigger chalk paint projects.

What paint did you use and what ratio did you need to dilute it to get it through the gun?

Beautiful day for me today. Finishing a bathroom where a client was planning to move back into the house tomorrow... turn on the water and one of the old water pipes burst!!!
guys go out to close the water at mains while another closes at the geyser in the ceiling. In the ceiling he trips and pops another water pipe. Water runs onto our new ceilings that were just installed!
FML... client is definitely not moving in tomorrow.
Rush out to try and get new ceiling boards and while driving call client to explain. Asked them to stay a bit longer and I’ll fit the bill for the extended stay at the hired place. At least that problem is solved.
Get to ceiling supplier and they’re closed. Speak to the guy asking him to get an order ready for me tomorrow... “sorry boss, we’re actually closed tomorrow for a staff function. See you Monday”
Back to site, let’s fit the new light switches and plug sockets as it’s a quick job... or not. All the old boxes are weird sizes. My lucky day!!

guess who’s not starting his next job on time... the next phone call I’m dreading. Monday’s problem

Damn man - a case of anything that could go wrong did. Hope you're able to make up the lost time though

Right so I had my moment of negativity. Back on track, had a laugh with the guys about Humphrey tripping in the ceiling. He came down topless as he used his t shirt to wrap around the pipe and pull the drip tray underneath the dripping pipe. Looked like he saw a ghost haha

at least we replaced some old pipes which might have popped in a month or so, better now as it would have looked like bad workmanship despite it being the old pipes.

I’ve already planned out my move the next job, I’ll have some guys start with the prep while we finishing up on current site. That way it doesn’t looks like we’re doing nothing... or even worse that we’re not showing up and disappearing with money.

think we’ve done enough for 2020 and everything else will be 2021... except of course the museum where everything happens immediately! Some clients are allowed to have me by the balls haha

Also, super lucky with current client. She completely understood and was worried about me losing out on the job. Any other client would have been pissed and Possibly have skinned My nuts

They come with a small drip beaker where you time how fast it flows through the hole at the bottom to determine the correct viscosity of the paint.
