I bought 6mm cable and fittings to properly tension it (instead of rope). Was much tighter - but - then noticed the double stitching around the edges was not done properly in about 3/4 places, it was stitched in bunches, so when you tension it - it starts to rip the stitching out. (I actually noticed it bunch up before, but thought it was because I couldn't properly tension it)
Needless to say, returned it today - which also turned out to be a bit of a nightmare - will no longer support the local Builders Warehouse - their service has always been subpar. First they didn't want to replace it, because its now more expensive - so I must pay the difference, MINUS the delivery fee I paid for the returned item - so basically, a replacement would cost me more than the current listed price.
Then - after asking for the manager, he said to "go get another one" - whereby the woman who was meant to go with stopped to chat to a colleague only to disappear. Needless to say - no more stock.
Stage 3 of their process, now they insist on refunding me what I paid - minus the delivery fee, which I refused, considering its not my fault the stitching is off - once again, had to wait for the manager - who never showed face again, they eventually just handed me what I paid in cash. I did give them the option of taking it home, and them collecting it at their cost.
