Damn that is thick. How workable is it?
On a trimmer I find even 2mm to be stiff
It gets used on those big Stihl ones with the harnass, I don't think you'll be able to use in a regular home weed eater, holes are to small.

Anyone know a reputable plumber in the Randburg/Northriding area. I'd like to make some modifications to my solar geyser piping (serious thermosyphon in winter), and add isolation valves so i can isolate if a geyser bursts to isolate without turning off the whole house.

Re: Washing line: Try 4mm BlouDraad aka Galvanised wire.
My father did a H Duty Twirly Wirly Wash Line and used +- 4mm (Galv) BlouDraad....still going strong +- 50 years later (Cape Town). Just wipe clean and hang, possible use heat shrink tubing over the twisted ends.

Hi Everyone , been reading all the threads love the info .

Anyone know a reputable fireplace installer with good references, ive seen Megamaster preferred list of installers but unsure who to pull the trigger with . Its for a freestanding wood fireplace, Johannesburg South..

Also need a slate roof repairer need some broken Roof slate tiles replaced and small gaps closed.

thanks in advance

Ah freaking hell, does anyone know why the paint peels off the rhinolite? Wife suspects they tried to paint it before it dried properly and why in parts it looks like the paint took off some of the rhinolite.
They also seemed to not fill in cracks before rhinoliting, which means I've had to polyfill them. As rhinolite does not fill cracks, it seems to kinda float over it.

Did they prime? Also did they use the correct primer. Water based primer is not going to work on there.

Not sure it was over a year ago. The first lot they did in Jan of 2020 is fine, hence why we got them back a year ago.
But we struggled to get them back and was pretty much the last time we used them after that work.
I mean it is the spare room so we weren't to bothered, but just trying to still fix it sigh.

Maybe some pics?

I did a repair a few months ago with the same issue. Paint work was 5 months old, no primer used.
We removed everything and completely stripped the walls. Then started fresh with primer and paint. Must be a solvent based primer to stick to the rhino lite, and please let it dry properly for 24 hours. If it's very cold and raining then maybe even longer. Then paint after.
Do not add paint coats even if the guys say that its dry and it feels dry, wait it out and do it properly.

Cool when there is better lighting

Checked the garage they freaking used water based the second time

Okay doesn't look that bad :) just some spots that came off, mainly where my son pulls off a poster or where we removed a cable.
Those loose edges are the spots where the peeling will sadly start and grow.
