I'm renovating a small old house and have two questions if I may.
1. What is the latest and greatest way to paint an old asbestos big six roof after it has been high pressure stripped...and
2. After sanding an old oregon pine floor what is the best way to treat it in a bedroom?
Thanks for all assistance.
I have a roof like that. All I can say is use a high quality paint. The older asbestos roofs get porous in their old age. We used the CoolRoof paint the last time and its been 8 years now, tho its probably time to paint again. And get someone with insurance to paint it for you. It cracks so easily and those big six nutec profiles are a PITA to get and an install.
The last guys I used had some or other plank contraption that they made to stand on so they didn't put their weight on small areas.

Room make over in the next two to three weeks.. not skimming the walls, unfortunately.. new cupboard and vinyl floor and new skirtings.. already removed the carpet some time ago.. was old and after the last industrial cleaning, it smelled terrible so the underlay has seen some wear, cause the room is still occupied..

There were major renovations done some time in the history of the house, which is why there are the mismatch patterns on the wall, where a window used to be and the odd location of the plug and light switch.. won't be moving the light switch, but the plug will move since the new cupboard will be on the side where the existing plug is..

Update:

Meh, that reminds me I need to order some more skirting at some point in the future....

And I would be the numbskull who would choose a profile that isn't generally in stock anywhere so has to custom ordered...

If you ever needed to run cables to the other side I would run conduit at this stage. Even if theres only draw wire in there. Never know when you might want lights, camera, access point or anything else that needs a wire.
Agree 100%, you might not need or want it now, but just put it in while you can. Many headaches have been avoided by using pre-existing conduit.
