Hole punch just makes me feel less likely to screw it up

well if you screw up the hole saw you would screw up the punch also lol. mark, punch the centre point, drill.

That chassis screw is the correct tool and will leave no burr or warp the metal. Takes a while to get going especially in confined spaces.

This is a lot thinner, easier to cut material than a gutter would be, as you are supposed to cut away the sides once the concrete has set..

I've looked around for edging products for a few years and never seen anything even remotely like this, or like the stuff you get in the states... Its frustrating.

Best I've ever really seen (and its not suitable) would be those plastic drains.

Thanks. It got me started in the right direction. Also seems to be called a star or cross.

is it a general area issue or specific to your property or specific to single taps?

Seems like a general area issue. But made worse by the fact that my building relies solely on pressure from the municipality to pump. Water up to my 5th and 6th floor apartment.

Check the tap filter mesh on the ends of the spout. The usually get filled with sand and dirt after the pipes have been worked on in the area and it can reduce the water flow and pressure.

I've done that. Even replaced some of the fittings with new ones. Not much improvement

Got an add: 40m drilling + 3.7m casing pipe R13500. Obvious pump and extras must be added.

So mine was:

2 x pumps (borehole submersible, booster pump)
All electronics and electrical fittings (fully automated with probes, cutouts, etc)
10000L JoJo Tank + fittings
All piping

They had to crane the drill onto my property due to high walls and trees, etc which was also a lot of money -- those guys charge per minute + per kilometer

I can see a few of my drunkard friends going for an unscheduled swim.
