This is what I'm working with.
View from front, I want this gate gate to open inwards. You can also see on the left hand post is a bracket made for attaching the carport frame. That little bracket is probably just a little higher than the gutter on the fascia.

View from inside, I'm going to be removing this awning and replacing it with a carport.

So the challenges I see are. If I attach what I'd want to be the high end of the carport to the fascia then I don't have enough drop sloping towards the left (view from front), also where would the gutter then go since I've removed it to attach the carport to the fascia.
I can't attach it to the wall under the eaves because then the gate won't open inwards.
I was also thinking to reuse those brackets metal brackets that are attached to the wall keeping the awning up.

I dunno, very early stages of brainstorming here still. To add to that I also still want the water to fall to the front so I can get it into my jojo tanks.
