It's usually recommended to replace the conduit. I'd bury it deeper, if you go this route, to prevent future damage.

I suppose you could fill up the hole with some epoxy and sheath another piece of conduit over it and use some PVC weld to make sure it stays put.
Ok thank you, sounds like an OK temporary plan. I do plan to eventually put in another conduit that doesn't go overground like that. Really half work in my opinion.

I don't want to flush the toilet along with with the stains :D
I do this all the time. We use borehole water to flush so we have calcium build up and it actually goes black after a few months. A little pool acid cleans it like new in about 30 minutes.

Also, pool acid does not eat ceramic or plastic so your toilet will be fine.

Poseidon's kiss might have an unnerving new sensation to it.

Silly question, but how do I fix this.

Do. I have to replace while conduit and redo the cable or is there something that can cover up the broken piece without redoing cable?

What cable is that?

What are ball-park labor charges for renovating a medium sized bathroom (2.5 x 4.5) ? Is it charged per sq.m or just depends on contractor's own criteria of profit? I was talking to one guy outside the builders warehouse and he said it can be between 5K to 8K and could take 5 days based on what I told him. Actual quote based on what he measures (and depends on what I buy etc which of course makes sense). I just wanted some ball park in case anyone knows if done recently. Thanks.

p.s. Hope it is not a 'How long is a piece of string' type of question.

hahah i think you need to get a pump for it as well
and maintain it like you would with a pool using stuff to clean the water

its a nice splash pool i would guess

and yes water is included in your levies until they ask who filled couple 1000 litres of water
1000 liters of water is 1kl that's hardly anything, to fill a pool of 3x2 will be about 8kl. Which is also not that much.

It depends on what you want done.

gents

in CPT what is the going rate to do flooring or tiling ?

and anyone you can recommend
Prices I have been getting from tilers (not tiling companies as such, just the guys you find in the smalls) range between R60 and R150 p/sqm depending on the tiles used.
Average price for 600 x 600 tiles is about R80 p/sqm.

Can't recommend because I haven't tiled yet. I will probably only tile around the end of the month.

whatever you pay for the tiles (per sqm), should be a rough estimate to the cost to remove and install tiles

any company will use the guy you find on the road standing with his tile cutter and charge 3* his price
