Anyone know where I can get a lock like this? Don't have keys for this one.

Is on an outbuilding garage door, where there no other entry to the building. This is to open the garage door when there no power

I would say contact a place like roos garage doors.. given that they do garage door installations, they would probably know where to get this or could supply you..

I mention roos garage doors specifically, because I had them out to quote on a new garage door and I don't have any access other than the garage door and was asking about automation and when there's no power and he mentioned a lock and key to get access in that event..

Hi all, need some advice on how to go about laying a concrete area?

The area is a soil patch between where my paving ends and my boundary wall (6m x 2m). I have bought the cement, stone, Umgeni and mesh.

What are the steps involved? I have someone who will be mixing and pouring the cement but need to know what exactly needs to be done to ensure I get a finish the does not crack and is somewhat nice and flat

Also how do I groove the cement? Can I simply cut a groove in the cement with an angle grinder and diamond disk after the cement has become solid

imo watch some videos on youtube, you can section it after with a grinder or you can do it while the concrete is still wet with a special tool after floating. imo i would use a nylon or horse hair broom to leave a texture on it before it dries also.

you would also want to use wooden boards that are oiled to make a form.

I did this once with a board that wasn't oiled at my old place.
Let's just say that it was decided that the board should stay in the concrete as part of the feature.

I don't think I would need a wooden form as the concrete area is from the end of the paving to the bottom of a wall. What is the reason for leaving a texture with a brush?

Should black plastic sheeting be included in between layers of the concrete? I have read that it should be included and other places have no mention of it
I do not believe so no, I would just wet the ground with a must sprayer before dropping in the concrete.

I want to hang a tv on a wall at my in laws place, but I see the wall is a cinderblock wall.

It's a 42" tv and it's going to be on an extending bracket, so I expect a bit of force on the bolts.

I'm not a fan of rawl bolts, as over tightening will just rip a hole right through the block. Even the plaster work is dodgy as the wall sounds hollow when tapped in places.

Anyone have any experience with hanging objects onto cinderblock? I was thinking of chemical anchor with sleeves might be a better option, but if I end up drilling jnto the hollow of the block I'm not sure chemical anchor is gonna help.

You get these bolts that open up on the inside of the hollow part of the block but not sure what they are called or their weight limit.

I tried hanging a pull up bar on those hollow blocks with rawl bolts and it didn't work but moved before I tried with something different.

Chemical anchor plus a sleeve is your friend for this exact purpose:

Try hollow wall anchors or butterfly rawl plugs.

Same, also tried a pull up bar with rawl bolts in a 50 year old cinderblock wall. It didn't go well for the wall or for me
