Yes, if the blades are sharp your lawn will look much much better. People always complain that its a manual, as if they have automatic lawnmowers which they dont also have to push.
Yeah, I have an automatic one and it is a bit cumbersome to operate. Once that stops working, I will give the manual one a go as it looked sleek.

This is the area outside my kitchen door where I'm toying with the idea to put up a small scullery/laundry. Floor bits from left to right are water inlet for bathroom, toilet exit, shower exit. Don't feel like making major structural changes to them, so could I leave them where they are and build around them? Maybe at the bottom of some cupboards (yes I know access might be a biatch).

Also I'm assuming I'll need to chop up the current slab and do foundations?

My electric wolf lawnmower also gave up.

Any suggestions for a new electric lawnmower.

I was considering the lawnstar 2400w. Does anyone have this lawnmower and can give me any feedback.

How big is your lawn (what sort of duty cycle do you need)?

Approximately 700 to 800m2 hence thinking of getting the 2400w electric motor

Tandem Ratel 3K

The last mower you will ever buy, the day you die you can leave it in your will for me.

I have a 2200w lawnstar. It had some parts that failed that I bought replacements for. The switch and there was something they had to press back on to the motor for me. All done at the lawnstar shop in epping off the n7 here in Cape Town.

The motor have not had a single problem, just some parts and this is many years later.

Hope that gives you an idea.

I think I bought a lawnmower 7 years ago. It looks brand spanking new as I used it 3 times.  Latest discussion has motivated me to save 200 rands per month as I will start using it now instead of asking gardener to do it. He has got some petrol version of his own and he refuses to use the cable one.

I have the Tadem Ratel with the Torx 220 motor. Going for 3 years now with no problems.

My brother in law bought a Ryobi Petrol Mower. That last just over a year. Now he has to replace the the motor and carb.
I know someone who has had his for over 25 years, and all that he has replaced is blades. The cord is starting to look really tatty and dangerous.
