Pretty much any width beam that's about 30mm thick will suffice.. attach to the wall with some coach screws.. I would suggest doing a single 2m length though, just to avoid potential sagging in the middle..

Also, those linked legs are pretty tall.. look for something around 700mm or so..

This is largely what I did.

I have 3 lengths of 30mm angle iron bolted into the wall and the desk is mounted onto that, with some Gelmar legs holding it up where there isn't support from the wall. Granted I did go a bit more overboard than that, and the desk has a steel frame underneath it to eliminate any possibility of sagging.

Another project I've embarked on recently is revamping my old fireplace at home since I decided to upgrade my TV, just seemed like the right time to go all out.

Didn't really have a photo of it before I started the project, but I've removed the top row of brick and the quarry tile type things on top to start with, and expanding the hearth at the bottom and clad the whole thing with slate and a solid oak mantle (fsck me wood is bollocks expensive)

And the po3s expensive piece of Oak that will be the mantle when I'm done :

It would be a pity if you measured once and cut it too short ...

Ooooh heeeell no.

Its currently way over length for what it needs to be, and when I do trim it shorter I will be measuring 90000 times, and then rechecking it a few million more times :P

So my geyser went titsup yesterday. Insurance appointed plumber (the 2nd one, 1st one came to check and declined the job) finally arrived just before 10pm. So I checked this morning and see that Kwikot is now Electrolux. The only one that I find on their website is a "dual" which is made for connecting to solar or a heat pump. Does this mean there is provision for the fitment of two separate thermostats? I cannot find an answer to this on their website.

All I can see is that it has a "renewable energy" connection, but zero indication how that would actually work. At first glance, its almost as if its a secondary water feed in.

All info on their Website.
I have to say I'm not finding it. Did find that the sacrificial anode must be replaced at correct intervals - depending on water quality, but at least every 3 years. My insurance policy actually makes mention of geyser maintenance. So I guess they'll be doing that in future.

Edit: Unless of course you mean that the fact that there is no mention of a second thermostat port means it ain't there, then fair enough.

I have done this before i.e. multiple contractors - it becomes tricky, and lot's of finger pointing

I have recently used a really good contractor for 2 bathrooms, complete revamps, he was excellent. The scope was extensive, plumbing, flooring, lighting, tiling, screeding, rhino-liting etc. so it was a very good test of his work.
Full Turn-Key solution, obligation free quote, the owner manages the project. I can PM you his details, get him out, get a quote and see what you in for, he also provided some really good advice and his quotes are itemised.

PS: I originally found him via the CTM contractors service, but have used him privately since
Please send me details

I think (I'm not a Plumber) that's it's one Thermostat powered by 2 sources....

Can anyone recommend a place that deliveres for a reasonable cost, looking for a 3m x .6m pine shelf in Cape Town. Builders can only supply 2.4m - Buco have promised to get back to me and don't.

Anyone in Centurion that can recommend a painter? Want to repaint inside our apartment. Not too big (around 180sqm), and not too much prep to be done, but want it to be done neatly.

Do you want me to deliver for you..? Or Uber you to and fro with the goods..?

Forgot about them - will try, can't find anything on their website, but will go to the branch.
I normally try to use them as their customer service is in another league when compared to a place like Builders. Don't have as much variety though.
