Do you want me to deliver for you..? Or Uber you to and fro with the goods..?
Well - delivered :D my wife will loose it if I attach a 3m shelf to her vehicle roof.

In the process of purchasing a Hilux, can't bloody wait - in fact - with what some of these guys charge - might just be worth waiting till next week.

Whole reason for the shelf is because the damn Hilux doesn't fit in the garage - so need to move some stuff of my bench (also won't fit) - and onto a shelf.

Haha - tx - will let you know. Seems to be a funny size to find - but my brackets are already up.. and I need all the space I can get.

Still not sure what to do with the giant slapped together workbench - probably offload on facebook market place, will miss it though, came in useful over the years.

All of this needs to find a new home on the property to make space for the vehicle.

I think (I'm not a Plumber) that's it's one Thermostat powered by 2 sources....
They are currently here to replace the geyser. I appears that both the geyser and the heat pump (or solar geyser) do attach to the same thermostat. Now to figure out how to get a Sonoff temperature sensor into the mix.

Anyone in Centurion that can recommend a painter? Want to repaint inside our apartment. Not too big (around 180sqm), and not too much prep to be done, but want it to be done neatly.
180m2 is the floor area. Send me the L x W x H of each room and a few pics and I can send you a quote.

I don't generally work as far as Centurion, but it'll give you an idea of pricing.

you realise how short a hilux bed is right?

Has anyone here gone for the electric and gas geyser combo?
The idea of what I want to do is use PV to supply power to the electric geyser on sunny days, and on cloudy days the gas geyser will pick up the slack if the water from the electric geyser is not hot enough.

Electric geyser -> gas geyser -> normal hot water pipes.

Got the idea from this video:

This is the best option or route but one would need a decent geyser like Rianni or Paloma IMO. (not cheap and neither will the plumbing be as this would involve extra pipes etc)

Why not use board? Or use two 30cm pieces. Which area?

Busy with some work at my place - bathroom and kitchen.

Need some advice on a shower screen. Basically just need a glass panel of 500mm wide for the side of the shower (height less important but probably 2000mm). Seems like I will need to have a custom size tempered glass made for this, right? Where would an affordable place be to have this done? Seems like the wall brackets I should be able to get at some bathroom/hardware stores.

Any glass places should be able to do this, I'd recommend you get them to fit it too. Glass is something that you can easily mess up with if you don't have experience with it, so if they break it then it's on their cost.

I used these guys for my glass shower: https://mckglass.co.za/

It's either seeping through the floor or there is plumbing leak at the trap.
I've repaired dozens of these - more often a plumbing issue.
But it doesn't matter, the solution is the same:
  • Carefully chop up the shower floor.
  • Fit a new shower trap - correctly.
  • Cast a new concrete floor leaving it about 20mm lower than required.
  • Apply a 5 - 10mm thick screed using Coprox Waterproofing additive - correctly.
  • Re-Mosaic using Mosaic Fix - add Bonding Liquid to the Mosaic Fix.
Eish but thanks for the, as usual, proffesional advice.

Thanks. I reached out to them but they responded saying they don't serve my area.

I'd prefer something solid, it'll have some tools on like my mitre saw.

In Blouberg. Tried Buco head office, they were less than interested. Referred me to their branch list who already don't respond.

Will tet Brights over the weekend.
