Thicker than the megamaster ones :p but the frame is there easy enough to screw on and off as these are done with tek screws not welded on.

Also has about 8 coats of ultra high heat paint on.

I suspect they will work loose fairly quickly with the thermal expansion and contraction. I may be wrong though. Keep us updated on that.
 
Looking good, Snyper. Very nice result.

I started small and painted the smaller piece of the front wall just to test the colour, but so far I am happy with it, so will go and get 20L from Builders some time and tackle the other 15-odd meters.

The 'before' colour was this nasty yellow colour and it is peeling just about all over (sorry, can't find a decent pic)

Figured I'd finally take some of the Christmas break to finish the fireplace project I started a few months ago.
Solid white oak mantle that took an age to sand and seal to a fine finish... And cladding the old brick took longer than expected.

Still need to figure out a neat solution for the TV wires and the entertainment unit which is now way way too big for what I need and I need to figure out an elegant firewood storage solution as well. 811396889.jpg

Could anyone perhaps tell me what these blocks are called? Tried Googling a few things relating to retaining blocks or sound barrier walls but I am not getting exactly what I want. I want to use them to terrace part of our garden that is quite sloped and currently just filled with bushes and stones and a half-hearted attempt at a picnic bench

I have the exact same tape holding up my LED strips to the back of my TV, so no judgement from me. The factory glue tape was rubbish.

Doesn't necessarily look the same but I used the terraforce block from corobrik a few years ago with the rockface look.

Those are not the retaining blocks you see on highways and the like. The retaining blocks interlock and slope back as you go up using soil pressure to secure.

That is some different system hence the concrete.


Let me go look, but you don't want the ones in your pic...

Can always put a gland on the pool return pipe by the pump

Put a ball valve on it with a conversion to quick connect hose pipe connector

Then the pool pump can do double duty

Any tips on growing grass? Removed the weed infested situation the complex garden service had created. Got new top soil and added seeds but seems the birds are feasting on the seeds and I should have rather purchased the lawn pieces they sell on the side of the road. Thoughts?

Also need to paint match a section of a wall, any tips on how to do this? Only need 5L I am assuming.

Lots of work to do in the 1 week of leave I took.
