The Home Improvements Thread (3)

That looks cool. How much will that set you back? Curious about what we need to do with ours. Thx
Ignoring appliances which we already have it's 130-140. That's top end sliders and hardware can knock off 20k if you get the cheaper version.

You can get waaay cheaper finishes but my wife wanted a nice kitchen so nice kitchen we will have. Also not complaining.

That's not a bad price for top end. Good one

Does anyone have any knowledge with regards to coin operated washing machines? Or retrofitting a normal washing machine with a mechanism?

Coin operated machines were all the US Whirlpool or Speed Queen machines.

I see Laundromats these days have a person on site, no more coins.

Maybe be an idea to control the power to each machine with Pre Paid electricity rather than controlling the actual machine....

You'd have to check out the commercial type stuff..

But then you may also want to look at the digital payment options, so you don't need to count coins for the rest of your life and students don't have to worry about finding coins..

The slower it dries the better though...

Our gardener is getting greedy now, he was charging R300 for a bakkie load of garden refuse removal, mostly just leaves and a few small branches and twigs here and there, now he says for 2024 he is going to charge R400 per load. What are you guys paying?
