I hate Eskom

08h00 t0 10h00 no power at the office, so I go out to a supplier.

Arrive at 11h30, and at 12h00 he has no power.

Back to the factory only to find they are on the 14h00 to 16h00 outage.

So... at 15H00 odd I go home, only to find that there is a line fault.

Power restored at 19h30


I hate Eskom.
 
Eskom cut my power at home& interrupted my 1.5TB of data I was replicating to another drive. I hate eskom
 
To OP: Sorry for laughing, but after the type of day you had, anyone would want to swear off Eskom and seek alternatives (if only it was that easy). Good luck, hope tomorrow's treating you better! :)

Watch the headlines tomorrow .... Textile guys beats Eskom to within an inch of life and calmly walks away ....

I swear, I would rather spend a day with the mother in law than ..... no wait, its not that bad yet.

Maybe I should check the schedule when the power is shed.... it may warn me of load shedding

Well I've been lucky. For two days in a row we were supposed to be without power from 18:30 to 22:30. Both days I came home with the power being off only to come back on just after 18:00.
 
@chrisyelland: Eskom was unable to bring back the 930 MW Unit 1 at Koeberg onto the grid today as planned, so Unit 1 will now stay off for further 3 months
 
@chrisyelland: Unit 1 at Eskom’s Koeberg nuclear power station tripped on 1 Feb due to an earth fault on the generator transformer caused by human error
 
@chrisyelland: The cost of unserved energy of this lil Eskom “human error” at Koeberg is estimated to have cost the productive economy of SA R7,5-billion
