The iOS 11 Thread/Discussion

The battery is being sucked out like a John at a 20 dolla ho today with the beta installed...

Jeez, double the usual drop.

I now have wifi connection issues, known networks can't be connected to and I keep on getting incorrect password pop ups.

Can't connect to known Bluetooth devices.

Cellular signal is also dodgy.

Is beta 4 still as laggy?

No, it’s feeling quite snappy, I think on both the iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 it’s an improvement.

So far only had one real bug where I was trying to edit an email I was writing and it just wouldn’t put the cursor where I wanted.

Oh, and that battery drain, but that could just be a day 1 thing and not a real bug, time will tell on that.

Maybe try and do a reset/restore, I’m not seeing any of those issues (just tried connecting all 3 pairs of BT headphones to test, all working perfectly) on my phone.

Thanks. I had beta 1 running for a day and moved back to iOS 10. Will see how beta 4 runs.

Beta 1 was a dog, as was 2. I tried and moved back to 10 from both of those.

I’ve only just gone back to the beta with 4, 4 is a lot more refined imo in my use so far.

I’ve had some Bluetooth issues with my GPS as well.

But suspect it’s more the app not being updated for iOS 11 yet as the connection strictly is working.

While it’s a lot better than beta 1, it’s still laggy af haha.
I’m going back to iOS 10. It’s coming along nicely though.

Definitely not seeing lag, so I’m not sure why the difference being seen (on iPad and iPhone). If anything the iPhone 6 feels more snappy after the update.

Still unsure about battery drain though, it lost 9% on standby overnight which is agin about double what I’d expect.

Anyone else have the Reminder icon upside down? Colored dots on the right instead of left?

I'm not running the iOS11 betas, but read about that here: https://www.macrumors.com/2017/07/24/ios-11-beta-4-tidbits/

New icons - Apple has introduced new icons for the Contacts, Notes, and Reminders app. Some of the app icons may be bugged for some people, showing certain details, like bullets for Reminders, on the wrong side of the icon. This is because Apple inverts the icons for languages that read right to left instead of left to right, and it should be fixed in a later beta.

On the 7+ it lags heavily compared to iOS 10.3.3.
10.3.3 is butter smooth though. Probably the smoothes iOS version ever for the plus devices.
