The iOS 11 Thread/Discussion

Does it work for in-app purchases though? Bought Super Mario in the US store before it was released in SA store, paid to unlock. Quite a pain when I sync or update it and lose the in-app purchase.

Doubt it.

It's purely removing the authentication for Updates.

In app purchases would go much deeper as it would need different currencies and wallets and legality issues. Would just be a mess.

****

Oh for something already purchased. Yeah that should work fine.

I thought you meant buying base app in US and wanting to unlock more stuff with SA account.

The Apple ID is embedded in the IPA so shouldn't be an issue.

I find this rather handy:

New in iOS 11.3: updating apps obtained from foreign App Stores without switching Apple IDs

Some iPhone and iPad apps are only available from foreign App Stores.

Thanks to an underreported tweak in iOS 11.3, users are no longer required to switch Apple IDs and/or App Store regions when updating apps obtained from local App Stores.

As noted by German blog Macerkopf.de (Google Translate), an app obtained from an App Store region other than your default country can now be updated without switching Apple IDs.

When you happen to live outside the United States, there’s a whole lot of apps you can only get from the US store. That’s why I have two App Store accounts.

My primary account is for the American version of App Store. I created that because the US store features by far the largest selection of apps and games. The other one is for the local Croatian version of App Store, where I get my local banking apps and other software from, including apps for local transportation services and what not.

Before iOS 11.3, App Store would prompt me to sign in with the Apple IDs I used to obtain apps from foreign App Stores before I could download their updates. With iOS 11.3 and later, I no longer have to switch to the App Store region I originally downloaded the app from.

Now you simply hit the Update button and all your apps get updated no matter the country they were downloaded from, making it a lot easier to update all your apps at once. While you may still be prompted to confirm the password for your foreign App Store account, this is way easier than having to sign out of App Store and manually sign back in with the right Apple ID.

What do you think of this little tweak in iOS 11.3? And while we’re at it, do you use iPhone or iPad apps obtained from foreign App Stores?

Did you forget about the mods telling you that you can't post whole articles?

Or should I go ask them to remind you again, as your whole post history is stolen content from other sites.

I saw a sign that said "Get a life".

It made me think of some posters in the internet...

Cool story, espcially those ones who have to defend their online friends when they and their friend were told by the mods to stop what they were doing.

Yet here we are again.

If you don't like it, put him on ignore, but don't come in here and throw your weight around with threats like you're the forum traffic warden.

Oh, meant to add, can you post a link to the forum rules which says it can't be done?

Point 5.

As was pointed out to you and Fiesta earlier in this thread. Which is why I don't understand why you pretend to be so forgetful.

Would be good if you ever learnt to read properly...

The title of your link:

Here are some guidelines for posting News Articles in the Current Affairs section:

What section is this?

Helpful hint for any illiterate or ignorant person wanting to answer, it's near the top of this page...

11.4 is next, first beta was out this week.

what's fixes or new features?

i'm assuming that the Atmos feature will be in iOS 12, but if it comes sooner, i won't complain.

rumor has it that iOS 12 will be out in June at the WWDC (think that's the acronym?)

This was from one of the mods in this thread. Glad to know you think that they are ignorant or illiterate.

Post 705 in this thread, as tapatalk mobile is messing the link.

Maybe you should run and ask them to edit the rules then? This is not Current Affairs, and your earlier link only goes to guidelines for the Current Affairs section, if you hadn't noticed this is not the Current Affairs section.

Maybe until it's changed why don't you rather just keep quiet and stop acting like a self appointed mini-mod? Nobody will really cares for your arrogant attitude where you think you can tell people what not to do.

Also your link doesn't say it's not allowed, merely "frowned upon".

Like every major yearly release it will be announced at WWDC (with a beta release following WWDC), but won't actually launch until September.

iOS 9 on June 8, 2015, and was released on September 16, 2015.
iOS 10 on June 13, 2016, and was released on September 13, 2016.
iOS 11 on June 5, 2017, and released on September 19, 2017.

Be careful with the betas, I tend to remove the beta profile and not download beta 1 and 2, by beta 3 it's usually safe to use for everyday use and only then enrol the device onto the beta program again.

ok, now i am interested, how do i get added to the beta?

i'm on the "early" beta's for the xbox one and never had problems in the last couple years, but i probably just jinxed myself.
