Dark mode and emojis, maybe swipe on the default Apple keyboard.

All will be revealed later.

Which generation will be cut off from this update?

AFAIK phone compatibility not formally announced yet, rumours only :-

iOS 13 Compatible iPhones
  • 2019 iPhones Models
  • iPhone Xs
  • iPhone Xs Max
  • iPhone XR
  • iPhone X
  • iPhone 8
  • iPhone 8 Plus
  • iPhone 7
  • iPhone 7 Plus
  • iPhone 6s
  • iPhone 6s Plus

iOS 13 Not Compatible iPhones

Noticeable by their absence in the above list are: iPhone SE, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. The exclusion of iPhone 5s is understandable, but the removal of 2014 iPhones and the SE is going to create a lot of disappointment for users.

Eish. I just missed it with my iPhone 6. But hopefully not, as you say it's just a rumour for now.

Everything that only has 2GB of memory.

So basically the iPhone 5S and 6.

****

The SE if it gets dropped I would imagine relates to the screen size and related design compatibility.

Damn. Would have been nice to get dark mode. Hopefully they can give us that in a minor update for the phones that will have to stay on 12, since it is not performance related.

Yea, also hoping I make it on 6s but iOS 13 only kicks off in Sep. so no immediate panic.:cautious:

Here are all of the iPhones and iPads that will support iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 this fall

These are the devices that will support iOS 13:

iPhone XS
iPhone XS Max
iPhone XR
iPhone X
iPhone 8
iPhone 8 Plus
iPhone 7
iPhone 7 Plus
iPhone 6s
iPhone 6s Plus
iPhone SE
iPod touch (7th generation)

In comparison to the iOS 12 release last year, Apple has dropped support for the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus. Despite earlier rumors to the contrary, the iPhone SE is still supported by this year’s iOS 13 release. The iPod touch 6th generation has been dropped, however.

Meanwhile, as for the new iPadOS 13 release, Apple says that these iPads are supported:

12.9-inch iPad Pro
11-inch iPad Pro
10.5-inch iPad Pro
9.7-inch iPad Pro
iPad (6th generation)
iPad (5th generation)
iPad mini (5th generation)
iPad mini 4
iPad Air (3rd generation)
iPad Air 2

This means that Apple has dropped supported for the iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 3, as well as the original iPad Air. As for macOS 10.15, be sure to read our coverage of those compatible devices here.

I never heard that, everyone was saying that as the iphone SE is almost the same in side as the iphone 6S it will be supported as long as the 6S is.

Have to say, really liked Dark Mode, the iPad OS (coming to Air 2, WHOOP) and the Sign in with Apple feature was long overdue

I think one of the biggest features so easily glossed over was Voice Control.

If that works even half as well as the demo video showcased that would be pretty insane.
