The iPad Pro is what a computer should be: Apple

Apple is slowly becoming the laughing stock of the computer industry. But then name one American company that is known for ethics...

lol.... The Apple has fallen so far from the tree... it's not even on the same planet any more.

It really depends on your use case. For some people it will be a good replacement, for others it isn't.

The ad itself is cringe worthy and laughable though - with the Macbooks sporting 2-3 year old hardware this is great timing for Apple to tell everyone that they aren't really a computer company anymore.

Keep your iPad Pro to yourself Apple. It's an overpriced piece of junk with a smidgen of the functionality of a desktop PC.

iStore has the 12.9" wifi-only 128GB iPad Pro for R18299. Yeah, great value compared to a PC.

I would much sooner buy Microsoft's Surface Pro 4. At least it's also sort of a laptop.

I bet they would never release Xcode for their "pro" iPad.

Apple's ideal computer cannot be used to write its own applications.

My R1500 Atom tablet with Windows 10 and 1GB of ram is more of a computer than any iPad.

Since when have facts gotten in the way of marketing? Dr Cosby recommends a chill pill.

In principle it makes sense. Just add a keyboard and mouse to a quality tablet. But, I am yet to meet anyone who can actually work productively on a tablet.

I have 4 tablets. I use 1 maybe twice a week when I lay down and read a little whilst the household watches some 7 de laan.

Tablets are dead. Powerful small desktops like the Mac PRO is where it is at.

^Tablet are dead? lol

What crap. They are immensely useful. Replace a computer is stretching it but they are not "dead "by a long shot.

What tablet do you have and does it run full Win10, as in can you install desktop apps on it? Currently looking for something like this, a cheap Win10 tablet for note taking, basic drawings and it must be able to run a desktop app or 2.

My 13" laptop is what killed the tablet in the workplace for me.

Give me your work flow let's see where tablets fit in maybe mybb can do a little article about how mybb members use their tablets and see if it is seriously a consideration for business applications etc? Would give a nice insight I guess.

At no stage did I say an iPad replaced a Computer for me. I was going on your statement that "tablets are dead".

Even in the context of "working"...(which is rather relative) a good tablet (recent iPad) can be a computer replacement for some. Many people has vastly & varied differences & needs.

Having said all that a MyBB poll will be rather handy & gain useful insight on the topic.

I can see how a tablet could replace a traditional computer for a significant sector of the market, it all depends on usage.
