I just need to get hold of some conductive foam :/ and preferably for cheaper than I can get hold of a stylus

If you do find a place that sells the stuff please let us know.
Saw a few cool stylus(es?) made using one of those "claw-grip" technical drawing pencils (see below), by taking out the lead and stuffing the foam into the claw.

Yeah saw that too! The hardest part is just finding that foam :/ time to speak to engineering friends :)

I have some spare foam lying around the office. Can always try and make a plan to get it to you.

I also phoned a place here in Pretoria called Electronics 123 and the guy was kind enough and said he would give me some of the foam from their packaging for free if I run out of stock.

Maybe try around your parts for similar shops.

Fxit man in my settings - general there is no option for software update. I think it is still on iOS3

Hmm you said iOS 3?

If you are already running iOS 5, then in Settings > General > There should be a "Software Update" section.

Lol yes I think it is currently on iOS3, last night I downloaded iOS5 to update, since it takes forever on my 384k line I left it overnight. This morning I plug in to do the update and it tells me to download iOS5.1

Finally... got an 8.ta SIM RICA'd and cut.... but now how the dingdong do you get the SIM's MSISDN number? It's too small to fit in a normal cellphone...

Some advice please.

I managed to get standard sim cut to size today. Also got a mini sim converter. Now, how on the ipad to I check the balance of data bundle/airtime, please.

On iphone I use dialer to enter *100# or similar but on ipad there is not dialer.

Haha yeah cos you didn't install iOS 5 yet! You will be able to find the firmware file at the following locations, but I'm not sure if Apple is still signing iOS5.0 updates/restores. So you might just be forced to go to 5.0.1. Give it a shot sooner than later though, because if they are still signing iOS 5.0 installs, then it wont be for much longer :)

Quite right. You will need to log on to the Vodacom website and check your balance there. I think there is a Vodacom 3G app too, but I don't use it.

My iPad is jailbroken and I use this method for Jailbroken iPads :) - http://iphoneza.co.za/2011/09/02/ho...ing-ussd-codes-vodacom-mtn-cell-c-virgin-8ta/

NP :)

You put it in your iPhone 4...duhh ;) :D

Ok if you don't have an iPhone 4 then I don't actually know! Maybe you should have gotten it before you cut it haha. Maybe 8ta would be able to check for you somehow at one of their stores.

Or he can cut an old card that came with the sim to fit the micro sim, put a a tape at the back to hold the sim from falling of and voila he can use it in any phone
