Now how doe I even get to the tethering setup?

I go to SETTINGS > GENERAL> NETWORK > & I get the following options only
ENABLE 3G
CELLULAR DATA NETWORK
DATA ROAMING
VPN
WiFi


No tethering options at all

Works quite nicely.. Just change folder in the bottom left drop down menu of the app to access the root folder (system folder)

Replace Vodacom Carrier Logo with fxit_man's custom logo:

1. Open DiskAid/I-FunBox and change the folder to the root folder (bottom left of the app)

2. Navigate to the System/Library/Carrier Bundles/Vodafone_za.bundle/

3. MAKE A BACKUP OF THIS SOMEWHERE ON YOUR PC (if you ever wanted to replace the standard Vodacom logo)

4. Replace the FSO_CARRIER_Vodacom.png and Default_CARRIER_Vodacom.png with the ones provided in this .zip

5. Respring the phone

it works initially, sometimes, if you're lucky...

the tethering option is shown on your phone, but, if your phone is on 3G, and you try to use it, it disappears

mms stops working

phones data connection starts freaking out

How to add custom ringtones (after jailbreak)

You must jailbreak your device before using this method:

1. Right click the song you want in iTunes, convert to AAC

2. Right click the newly converted song and click "show in windows explorer"

3. Rename the song from ".m4a" to ".m4r" extension

4. Transfer to /Library/Ringtones folder via Diskaid (instructions for Diskaid on front page)

To trim the song, I use something like Audacity for Windows (free app) before importing into iTunes

You can use something a bit more "noob-proof" such as iRinger if you wish. This is just what I use (prefer it much more) and thought i'd share

could be bigger than that, there was an issue with push notifications not working on jailbroken phones.....

i'm hoping they didn't trash all push notifs, i can't wait for meebo.app
