it means you can save your config files, cant recall their correct names now, on Saurik's server, which will enable you to downgrade from 3.1 to 3.0 on your 3G

So, I opened a case with paypal regarding my iPhone which was sold to me under the impression that it was factory unlocked. The seller was very accomdating and offered that I can return the phone and he will refund me, and also pay for the shipping. He then said that he can also refund me $150 but then I keep the phone.

I decided to buy another one (this time a white one) for my partner who is turning 30 :) only paid $530 for it.. that's a great price...

Great price but you're paying for future headaches... Apple might have closed the 3GS for sure by forcing verification with their servers.

Pls could someone help i've just loaded tethering on my iphone 3g. How do i now set it up with my imac to access the web? Oh im on vodacom if that makes a diff.

Nothing much to do, when it's enabled on your iPhone you can connect via bluetooth by pairing your iPhone, or even easier with the cable it's just plug and play.

I'm not really worried, there will always be a hack or workaround :) Maybe not immediately, but in time for sure :)

I got a new case last week.. (It's only going on the market next week..)

Moshi..

Awesome stuff.. Got 2 different ones.. Hard Slim Fit case (Moshi iGlaze 3G/S) and a Full rubber case (Moshi Puro 3G/S).. best quality I've seen..

links? pics?

Do they have SA maps??

Yes. Included maps are South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and Swaziland.

It's turn-by-turn navigation with voice prompts and they use the NAVTEQ maps.

Nice feature is that you can use it in portrait and landscape mode.

I'm not a guru with navigation software, but isn't NAVTEQ the same that Nokia uses for their phones?

Just look up the iPhone stuff.. what image hosts are approved here? I will upload some images.. (I like to use imagevenue)

The Moshi case's are nice, just a little pricey and hard to come by. Sort of off topic, was watching Top Gear last night (Season 13 Episode 1) the one where The STIG is unveiled, and Jeremy C has a white and red SPECK cover (DEXTER cover) on his iPhone :)

I hope you didn't believe that Schumi is the Stig...

I also noticed ;)

argh!!!!... dropped my iphone into the toilet! was in there for about 5 secs.
all working except for sound, nothing from the speakers or headset. I've turned it off and left it to dry... anyone know what vodacoms policy on water damage with the 3gs is? Or where i can get it repaired? Not a good time to take it to vodacare since there is no 3gs stock at the moment.

I once dropped a phone in the toilet and took a dump on top of it. I only noticed it a split second before flushing! Thankfully in those days I still insured my phones.

Forget it - they won't touch it and water damage voids your warrenty.

Best is to claim from insurance, but you first need to take it to Vodacare so they can declare it non-repairable and issue you with a report stating that.
