Tried it today, worked very well! Actually preferred it to Sygic...
 
For anyone who is interested to know ... iTunes 9.0.1 is released. iTunes 9.0.1 provides a number of important bug fixes, including:
• Resolves issues browsing the iTunes Store.
• Addresses a performance issue where iTunes may become unresponsive.
• Fixes a problem where iTunes may unexpectedly quit.
• Fixes a problem syncing Podcasts in playlists to iPod or iPhone.
• Fixes a problem sorting albums with multiple discs.
• Addresses an issue with the Zoom button not switching to Mini Player.
• Improves application syncing for iPod touch and iPhone.
• Genius is now automatically updated to show Genius Mixes.

Can someone please help me out here, i've been trying to get a solution on google, but I'm not sure if what I want to do is even possible :)

My iPhone 3GS is one OS 3.0.1. It's Jailbroken and unlocked with Ultrasn0w. last night I tried to record a video using the standard camera application, but when I click the record button, the application freezes. Now I think I might have screwed with the permissions of the video folder when I tried to get cycorder to work, but couldnt even get cycorder to work, now the default camera doesnt work either...

I want to do a restore back to OS 3.0.1, so that I have a clean system. I do have have a ECID SHSH (3.0.1) on file with cydia. Is it possible to redo my iPhone using the custom firmware (iPhone2,1_3.0.1_7A400_Restore.ipsw) and following this guide: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=4447

I tried to restore by it fails when it tries to autorize the install with apple. I thought it was supported to redirect to suarik's signing server... :(

well, first off, why did you even try to install cycorder?? useless on 3gs?

to do the restore you have to add saurik's server to your host file (windows) did you do that?

Haven't posted here in a while.. Apologies, been busy with tests and that ..not that i'm actually needed here anymore anyways :p

Old mans looking for a 3GS (16gb most prob)

Anyone happen to know a place in jhb that has stock?
Seems a lot of the places are on back order.

Yes, I did add saurik's server to my host file, this was what I added:

74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com

Wierd that it didn't work

I'm sure I did, but maybe I should try again. But what I want to do is possible right?
 
Dammit...

No Luck. I rechecked my host file, everything seems fine. When trying to do the restore with the file posted above, i still get "Verifying iPhone restore with Apple" and then..."This device isn't eligible for the requested build" ?? :(
