So here’s what you can do;

1. Touch the “.?123” key, but don’t lift your finger as the punctuation layout appears.

2. Slide your finger a half inch onto the period or comma key, and release.

Well ive been killing alota time playing games on all the diff emulators but im having a problem with gba(gameboy advanced) ive downloaded abt 5/6 roms to test it out but ev time i try 2 load any it goes to the controller screen but says "sorry but ipSP requires gameboy advanced - you have an incorrect IOS image" im running version 1.8

can anyone help me with this??

Yeah as it says u dont have a BIOS image needed to play the GBA roms..

Firstly uninstall your current GPSPhone version...

Add this source to installer :

http://repo.iromrepo.com/

And install the "gpSPhone w/ bios". I think its in the iRoms category

Install and enjoy :)

Nope theres not a working source that i know of... Been looking for a while now. There used to be but they dont work anymore AFAIK

iPhone 3G Launch Date Confirmed

We all suspected it, but now it is confirmed: sources close to the 3G iPhone launch have told Gizmodo that Apple will announce their new model at the WWDC Keynote on June 9th. The second-generation iPhone will be available worldwide right after the launch, and not at year's end, as previously thought. The new model will also herald new sales policies in some countries.

In Spain, for example, the 3G iPhone will be available for sale at the June 18th grand opening of Telefonica's megastore—an Apple Store-like shop located in the company's historical building in Madrid's Gran Vía— with nationwide availability right the next day or after a few hours. The other European countries with iPhone availability will have similar launch schedules.

According to the same reliable sources, the 3G iPhone will no longer be available at a fixed price point—at least in some countries, and its launch will also bring new sales policies, although these have not been completely specified yet.

The move is a logical step, since the iPhone has clearly solidified its position as the cellphone to beat during last twelve months, and companies in the cutthroat European cellphone market need to use it as an incentive to capture clients aggressively.

This most probably means the new 3G iPhone will be integrated in the usual marketing systems of carriers, with point-based trade-ups, discounts for carrier switchers, and other service-based subvention packages.

Lol i watched that yesterday! Interesting... I didnt believe the black powder stuff at the end though lol.. Not that im gonna try it for myself and see if that really happens :)
 
I have 2 questions, pls help
- I cant download the new v3.11 of Installer, keeps saying 'package download failed'. I have v3.1 and the fix? Any ideas?
- had a look at trying winpwn. Looked at iClarified's tutorial. Pls tell me or tell me where to go to learn more, ie things such as the BL etc. Also, what it the main reason for using this rather than just using Ziphone or iLiberty?

I'm having problems with downloading from installer today as well but it's not the iPhone, vodacom's edge seems to be dead in my area, try using wifi and if that fails then it's probably a permissions problem, a fix was posted earlier for this.
If all else fails then the servers are probably down.

The benefit over ziphone using pwnage is that you'll never have a locked iPhone again, even after a restore in iTunes you can still make calls on any network.

You do a restore in iTunes with a custom "pwnd" firmware to activate the firmware, no need to restore then activate.

Now with the ability to create new ringtones in GarageBand, just record yourself saying the names of the people calling you most, then create ringtones with you saying that name, and add a ringtone following that in GarageBand. Share that as ringtone, and then assign the ringtones to the respective people on your iPhone. And voila, suddenly the iPhone will audibly announce the boss is calling or it's mommy!.

The headset that comes with iPhone allows you to use squeeze (click) once to pause, and double-squeeze to skip a song. But if you squeeze one time (while a song is playing), the iPhone's playback will pause, and if you then double-squeeze, the iPhone will skip back to the beginning of the album or playlist (depending on what you started playing).

Thus it is possible to skip back to the beginning without pulling the iPhone out of your pocket.

Had the same problem... Just tried about 2 hrs ago and it worked for me again.. Its usually when the servers are busy that it disaplys this message...

Just try again later :)

ok, so no luck yet with the download of Installer.

I tried checking my email, first time since the re-Ziphone, and it bombs out on startup? Any suggetions pls?

Sounds like you have some permisson problems all over..

Found this:

Try the following:

Fix permissions on your mail folder

1. Via SSH, or whatever method you prefer, connect to your iPhone and enter the filesystem
2. navigate to /var/mobile/Library/mail
3. set permissions on your mail folder to 777 (via 'chmod -R 777 *)

OR

Install SyncFix via Installer.app

1. Open Installer and add the iClarified source (http://installer.iClarified.com)
2. Install SyncFix (under dev 1.1.3)
Perform a Restore to fresh 1.1.4

If all else fails, try throwing your iPhone into Restore mode and upgrade to a fresh copy of 1.1.4. Users are reporting that when all else has failed, they were able to get Mail working again by restoring their iPhone.

I see appleiphoneschool.com has step by step instructions now on how to use winpwn. Will see if I have time today to give it a try.
