Control and View Your iPhone From The PC

There are many apps that use VNC for a remote desktop connection on the PC, but now we can have a Remote iPhone connection on the PC!

Just download "Veency" from Cydia and the Tight VNC Viewer from here and your good to go!

Then simply go to Wi-Fi settings on your iPhone, and check the IP Address of the wireless network you are connected to. Enter this into "Tight VNC Viewer" and click "Connect".

Really awesome app! Best of all, it's free!

A great feature is that you can type an SMS using your keyboard! :)

@fxit - did it, still nothing. Tried adding ste and ispazio to Installer as well (wishful thinking that it might be there), also nothing!

Try uninstall Ste repo, reboot the phone, install again..

This happened to me before, but after a few days it just appeared randomly..

Found this:

Try SSH into your phone and edit the file /var/lib/cydia/metadata.plist

Edit it with notepad and change whatever year is appearing at the top of the changes list back to the current 2008, respring and it will be back to normal

Thx, tried first option, delete, reboot, reinstall, no change. Have to quickly go out, will try in about an hours time again. Thx for the help! :)
 
Howsit Gents,

I installed Swirly and it receives perfectly. When i tried sending an MMS i got the following error:

Failed to send MMS.
Possible incorrect mmsc setting.
Unexpected http response
(HTTP/1.1 408Request Time-out)

Anyone help?

Cool I am thinking of going the same route when I update the SO's phone.
 
@fxit - deleted it, rebooted, nothing! Guess I'll just have to wait for it to pop-up? :)

@morkhans - was really flawless, used the iClarified guide, and did it accordingly, all went easy! :)

I'm getting the same error with Vodacom. Cannot send, used the settings in above post...
 
@limnos - are you referring to the settings I posted? Ok, don't think I'm mad, but I have read this in a couple of places, have you rebooted your phone? A lot of people say this helps.

Saying that, I can't even get Swirly to show in Cydia on my other iPhone!!!

Take note, the settings I posted, the digits are different to the ones everyone else has posted. I got them off Vodacom4me, and they have worked on mine. Sent from Vodacom iPhone to MTN Blackberry.
 
@Raxton - is the iPhone here on Friday? Where did you get that? That will be great news!!!
 
i got an email from apple, check the official iphon thread other guys got it too. but i am not getting mine because i friggin could not wait so i ordered from igear, R 9 500 + -. but will i be able to unlock it on to the vodacom network oficially
 
Thats great! Wonder howcome I got nothing? I also pre-ordered, and got the previous message, this time nothing!!! Any ideas on prices etc?
 
they have not released prices in the mail i got, i think just phone vodacom maybe they will help hey, the price issue is the best kept secret i think
