Hey guys,

I jailbroke my iphone this weekend :)

Here's a question - I would like to load some NES ROMs, but from what I have read, in order to do that I need to use SSH to connect to my iphone using wi-fi.

Problem is - I don't have wi-fi.

Is there a program or something that I can use to install those ROMs on my iphone without wi-fi?

Yep!

See here for instructions

Open the folder with the ROMs you wish to transfer in on the right hand pane (your PC), and on the left hand pane (your iPhone) , navigate to the /private/var/mobile/media/ROMS/<emulator> i.e. GENESIS folder

Then, click the ROM you wish to transfer from the PC, and press F5. It will copy to the phone ;)

SwirlyMMS update - Vodacom

I simply just cannot receive MMS's from MTN.

My MMS's to Vodacom & MTN both go through, and I can receive from Vodacom - but NOT from MTN.....

Called in, they didn't have a clue... They didn't even bother helping me as they have no tech support info regarding iPhone...

Not worth the buy.....

Thanks!:) Managed to get it done.

Another question - how do I install cracked apps?

What's wrong with the forum's Search function?

I'm searching on how to manually backup (one of fxit's old posts) using SSH and I can't search :( iPhone is giving **** - keeps on disconnecting itself every attempt to backup.

Sweet thanx bud... What's up with the ownership problems? it's new.. Will do though

Well, from experience I found that when you manually copy the files back, the ownerships aren't set back to mobile, but root instead..

These files have to have the mobile ownership otherwise the applications can't access the files because they have the incorrect ownership (root) ..

So you set ownership to mobile recursively and you shouldn't have any problems!
