I used MobileTerminal to enter the above. It gives me numerous "Operation not permitted" warnings. I assume the permissions have not been changed.

I'm still in MobileTerminal, not sure If I should start crying...

Can you SSH into the phone?

Use Putty then.. Click here in WinSCP, and if it asks to locate the Putty .exe, point it to the exe you just downloaded.


Otherwise make sure you type it exactly how I typed it (although im not even sure if you can do this within MobileTerminal)

So thats:

login root
Password: alpine

cd /

chown -R mobile /var/mobile/

No Wifi, so staying with MobileTerminal for now.

Tried again with spaces - Now says "missing operand after 'var/mobile/'

From the help example:

chown -hR root /u
Change the owner of /u and subfiles to "root"

Any thoughts on changing the syntax?
 
Guys, as a test, i re-installed WinterBoard.

Rebooted, and set my permissions.

All seems to be good so far with the Wifi problem... It automatically connects now as I unlock the phone...

Uploaded a snapshot of my iPhone into the group with WinterBoard working...

Will let you know if I get any issues now that i've done all the above..

Just needed your feedback - thanks. Have installed it and stuck all my games in the folder - working fine.

I have a jailbreaked iPhone and the categories loaded no Winterboard and am not having any Wi-Fi issues.

guys i love my iphone but dont u think its a bit ridiculous that we gotta damn pay for an app to receice MMS etc i mean common its a damn cell phone!!

Its so stupid...
