only works for ipod touch

the iPhone stays in iPod touch mode until activated with iTunes i'm afraid

no, that's just some research i've found, i have the 3G

No not really to be honest.. Thanks for the offer, but I see it as a waste of money unfortunately.

Also, the 99$ fee is annually I think, so it wouldn't last for that long either :(

I've only received a mail from saunj07, still waiting for the rest to confirm they're in

I'll be asking everyone to submit the 99/(number of member) to the group paypal account, 16.50 US$ each based on 6 people (already set up, will post my contribution on there myself first...)

there's a minor snag, I have to set it up as a USA paypal account, otherwise you cannot send money to it, in which case, I cannot send cash back to your SA accounts, let's discuss if this is a problem, if we ever want to sell apps as a group this might become a bit sticky
 
rrr is reported to be working on MTN as a Delivery Report code..

You MTN guys wanna try it out?

Add it to the beginning of a message and send. Do you get a delivery report back?

e.g. rrrThis is a test

Then send :)

Just got an iphone 2G that i'm allowed to play with, not anyone's primary phone

so i can test the os 3.0 upgrade for everyone else interested in joining, would anyone mind having it listed as a dev handset on a friend's/own profile? that way we can be sure if we can upgrade 2G's to 3.0 beta as well

I am not planning on doing any dev work, so that doesn't phase me.

just tried it from an mtn phone, no luck ;(

Received a second mail, not sure from who though

so we have 2 forum members

I've also recruited two friends to join in, so the cost is dropping...

iRealSMS has the function to add delivery codes automatically to the beginning of your messages :D Quite a cool feature.

I think I will pass for now. If i do decide to join later, you guys are planning to set up a 'kitty' anyway which i can contribute to. I dont see any use for me to join now

...and I just cost each contributor about $4. Sorry guys. :o ....
