this is usually the location it opens first when you browse for it anyways... so really easy actually

for those claiming anything other:

THERE IS ZERO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE FILE DOWNLOADABLE FROM ICLARIFIED, OR THE FILE THAT ITUNES DOWNLOADS

in fact, iclarified just links you to the file on the apple software server, so, not even two copies of the same file, it IS the same file

Again: fair comment.

BUT we have a choice:
1.) whine and complain
2.) use what we have at our disposale (in this case Vcom rep) to acheive what we want -proactively.

I doubt there is a single member of this forum who cannot see that 2 is the clear choice. ;)

seems "grep" is one of the packages that it's trying to install.
how do you manually install packages without cydia?

been getting the same error on some packages today on Cydia..

Think Cydia's kinda broken today.. I wouldn't blame it on RedSn0w, just one of the Cydia sources that's having some problems.

interesting
o well, half way through restoring now anyway.
going to try redsnow 0.7.0 again, if i still get the errors then we know it's cydia (im pretty sure it's cydia though - there werent any complaints on the dev team's blog...)

anyone use truPhone at all??

it says that it alerts you when you have voicemail even though the app isn't running (push notification), but, does it also push your im txt messages and keep u online if the app's not running?
 
Guys, I just restored my iPhone but Redsnow didnt install cydia. is there a way around that? maybe another app that i could use?

PLEASE ADVISE!
 
ya... I'm waiting for the bugs to be ironed out before I jailbreak, still on a clean upgraded 3.0.
