Heh heh - thats probably why I am not having hassles - been using Swirly since it was released for OS3.0. I just switched MMS off in the settings.

same here, since i disabled apple mms, all my issues went away

Guys, I'm getting worried that noobs reading this thread, and without proper knowledge, are screwing up their phones.

I think the name of this thread ''tips/tricks/apps'' might have become a bit misleading and should rather be changed to ''iphone jailbreak'' thread.

Just my 2c.

lol, noobs only break their phones if they only read half way, and a restore is always a helpful nudge to get them to be more careful/thorough in future...

I think there should be 3 threads:
iPHone Tips (for random tips and problem solving etc.)
iPhone Tricks (for jailbreaking info etc.)
iPhone Apps (all app info, links etc.)

I agree it will make more sense, but just remember, it will be 3 forums for all our 'locals' to follow, and people will still post whatever they want to know in either or ALL forums.

i'm with renier, i like keeping an eye on one forum for interesting info, thing is, the biggest issue is folks asking for info that's readily available elsewhere, and then they get demanding if no one responds, "how do i jailbreak my phone" is a bit of a bummer.... we're supposed to be finding solutions elsewhere to things that we would like to see done on the phone, and then as info post the result along with the solution on here for other folks to try should they find it usefull

Agreed, you know what would be useful though? All that info on the first pages you guys put up are really cool, but a separate thread for that would be awesome...

Bugger that - give us our own forum!!

Thanks so much for the GPS software it is awesome. :D:D:D

Yeah man, sorry I saw your PM yesterday but I couldn't reply, something about your message allowance being exceeded. What I really like about that GPS software is those little pop-up screens that show the names of the streets when you're close by, very cool, and the maps are pretty detailed, I haven't seen one small little street yet that was not on there.

i think the regular poster's should just link the first page in their signatures...

Sorry if this is a repost of a question asked many times before, I did scroll through a few pages but did'nt find anything concrete about 3.0 + GPS recommended software. :(

Is there any real working decent GPS software pacakages available yet for the iphone that any of you fundi's can recommend ? I am running on 3.0 + jailbreaked the phone with the cydia installer etc all up and running.

The tomtom option for the iphone looks like it will cost an arm and a leg though.

Just read through the past 5-10 pages, there is an app called sygic. Not too cheap eather, but there are ways :) (if you have a jailbroken iPhone)
