I had this once before. Actually did it too ALL my third party apps. I did a full (clean) restore though. Probably your last resort...
 
Thanks Rapid - I reinstalled one or 2 of the apps and they work now, still a really weird issue.

When will gps routing be available for south africa?

How can i get routing/directions on the iphone?
 
I restored my iPhone 3G this weekend to OS3.0, then did a jailbreak, and installed all of my old apps from scratch (no restore). Setup MMS, not tethering (I use PDANet for that). Last night I charged the phone 100% with the supplied charger and took it off the charger at about 11:00pm. 3G is off, Wifi is off, made 1 call this morning +/- 2 minutes, and as of now (11:53am) it's still reading a charge of 100%.

I've noticed that if I charge the phone to full on the PC using the USB cable, discharges much quicker with similar usage.
Could this be?

Gonna try using wifi now and see where that leaves me with charge level.......

12:10pm: Just checked my Twitter, facebook, checked my mail and trained my brain, charge now sitting on 94%.............any thoughts?

'Glasklart' theme: awesome! Stumbled upon it accidentally as one does and have just never wanted it to look any different to that.

If I get bored - just change the BG and its like a totally new theme :)
 
Anyone know where I can buy a cheap car charger for my iphone? Bought the gear4 roadtrip dual charge thing from vodacom, and the stupid thing does not fit in my jazz' socket.

Basically just want one for charging, gps does take a bite out of the battery

that's easy to fix, is it the one with the 2 usb ports???

sharp knife or scissors, and just trim down the plastic ring at the bottom end of the socket that stands out down to nearly nothing, it'll work from there, had the same issue :)

thanx, really cool theme...

how do i get the "slide to unlock" text back though?? i like making the slide dock transparent and having just the slider there, any good suggestions for custom "slide to unlock" text? can't seem to find any :(

Cool man, will do, believe you me, yesterday when I found it did not work, I wanted to go at it with some sharp instruments, but decided to take a breather
 
bummer, fring with push is free.... lol

has all the beejive and IM+ features, except, it doesn't support facebook chat :(

just compare it to any other working lighter accessory that does work, you'll see the difference clearly, and start hacking away :) i used a pair of kitchen scissors, those with the half moon angle shaped blades... a bit stronger than your standard scissor, did the job nice, and if it doesn't look too great when you're done, don't worry, you'll never see that end of the adapter again once it's plugged in.... lol
 
Has anyone here compared the quality of the GPS routing of the 3g to that of the 3gs here in South Africa? I am wanting to upgrade my 2g so I can use gps tracking in the car, but want to know if it is worth putting in the extra cash for the 3gs? Thanks.

I dont think the routing is working in SA. Search this thread for sygic - I think its an alternative...

wait for tomtom for iphone to release before making this decision...
 
Well I have been using Sygic on an iphone 3g, and love it, it has a lot more features than my garmin nuvi 200. Sometimes it can be a fraction slow, but nothing fatal.

Can't wait for the tomtom, wish they will freakin hurry up now

True that, but it "seems" like (from the reviews) that push only keeps you online for about 10 mins or so.

Looks like all the free alternatives (Fring, eBuddy, Nimbuzz) only keep you online for up to 30 mins.
Pay versions like BeeJive, AIM and Agile Messenger keep you on for 24 hrs and IM+ for up to 3 days.

I always used BeeJive but am now using IM+ and actually really enjoy IM+ :D
