The pouch thing that my Garmin is supposed to be in works just right in the car. I mean, what else are you supposed to do with it?

Try holding down Shift+Click on Restore button.

Why go around stealing software. The only reason there are such amazing apps available for the iPhone is because people are supporting the developers by actually paying for the applications!! If you were a developer and spent major time on developing an awesome app and everyone bypassed the payment and downloaded it for free - I don't think you'd carry on developing, right?

I was trying to dbl click on the restore file rather than clicking on restore in iTunes. lol was a long weekend :D
 
Can anyone share what they think a 2g iPhone 8gb is worth? I am trying to sell mine, but have seen prices online ranging from 2,600 to 4,000 for the same thing. What is a fair price for a 2g 8gb with os 3.0 in good condition? Thanks.

I would say around R2000 - R2500.

Not more. I mean the phone is almost 3 years and 2 models old. With no 3G, GPS and only 8GB one would be stupid to pay more.

About 1500 - 2000 depending on condition :)

i'd say about 2k

i wish i could put my 3G in a 2G case though, love the feel and sturdiness of the 2G :(
 
I did a fresh install of OS3 last night and it has made a pleasant difference. Phone is speedier. Battery also doesn't seemed to have drained as quickly, but not sure yet. ;)
 
Has anyone experienced extremely slow 3G connection speeds after they have done a clean 3.0 install on their phones?

Nope can't say I have, perhaps do another clean install.

I have noticed a huge improvement in my battery life since doing the clean install last night. 3 hours usage of calls, sms, browsing, emailing and not even half battery gone.
 
Well another little bug has crawled into my life, and I think its related to the 3G speed. Found an article online stating that when 3G speed is low like that, you need to switch of mail push, and set fetch to manual.

Did that, and 3G was speeding along again, till I opened my mail app, mail app crashed back to springboard, and cannot open it again without it crashing, luckily I have ibismail installed so I can get my mail through that.

But yes for some strange reason, changing that, screwed up my gmail account on my mail app
 
anyone else having the annoying cydia issue where, you launch cydia, it tells you there's 3 updates for example, which you install, it then restarts springboard or closes cydia or returns to cydia, but either way, the next time you look at the cydia icon, it shows (3) updates available on the icon badge, which happens to be the 3 you already installed, so if you launch cydia again, there's no updates, then press home, and the (3) badge as magically disappeared....? not a train smash, but, annoying, i don't like unfinished things on my springboard....
