receiving msn/yahoo messenger/google talk/skype etc. messages while apps aren't running, all sorts of apps use push now, which you can't use on unlocked phones

seriously bud, save yourself the headache, buy the phone here for the few bucks extra, dion wired was selling the 3G 16 for like 4k
 
just did some research on it and it seems like it is something I would not really use. But thanks for the heads up.

If I find I really want that then I can just sell my phone and get one here.

You definitely need the use of Push Notification. I use the for my IM client and Gmail.

OK thanks guys. I get the point. But I am still gonna go with the deal and if I really regret it I will sell it on ebay :)

I am getting really amped for this now.
 
So I eventually went and bought my Speck Candy case for my phone! Loving the case. Fits so nicely.

Will recommend it to anyone. cash well spent!

Seriously, don't ask for advice if you're going to ignore it, your buying a great product and the deliberately crippling it because you want to be cheap

I am not ignoring the advice, just not using it.

Where do you suggest I buy the phone (no contract)?

Was more a question of finding the color I wanted. The VC shop near to me only had white, but I wanted the Grey/Green one. Eventually managed to get it at Canal Walk VC. Am so stoked with it :D:D

Yea its also on the SOS repo and Xsell repo, but the above mentioned repo is the developer. The SOS repo download also works, but the Xsel repo I had issues with.

Yeah people were mentioning problems with other repos. Best to add the developers own repo imo.

To others: App is called iPhoneDelivery

its also called iphonedelivery. But like I said, i had issues with this app, it kept wanting to update, and when I clicked update nothing would happen.

Personally I think downloading directly from the developer is best. Its the latest release too.
