The iPhone Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

Has anyone had any experience with using a video cable on their iPhone to video pics or video on the TV? Is it worth the feature?
 
I am in a pickle :(

I can get a "Used 16GB 3G White for R2 200" or a "NEW 16GB 3G White or Black for R5 000"

The 3GS is very nice and I prob wont upgrade to the new iPhone when it comes out if I get it. Plus the resale value in 2 years time will be much better. Plus the speed and all the other features really attract me to it. Plus I like the odd video so the camera is pretty cool.

What would you guys do?

I would go for the 3GS, but all depends on how much money you got to throw at it.

I have more than enough money for either (not like I am made of gold though :( )

It is just, can I justify the R2 800 difference?

Totally! Newer technology, added features, wont be outdated as quick....do a comparison between the two...besides it a lot faster...
 
cool.. think I will go with the NEW iPhone 3GS 16GB
But which color? same price either way.
I am rather fond of the white one but remember reading articles about pink from battery on them or something.. any1 know about it?

Some do go pinkish apparently from over heating. I think black is nicer anyways :)

besides you going to get a cover for it so doesnt matter

V4U stores, or import (at +-R200 more) for the R299 @ a V4U store it's a great deal, I got 2 at R249 each (valued customer, ;) read know the owner) a DEXTER on for myself and a pink on pink (Hello Kitty) for my wife! We both love them :)

I suppose at that price you cant go wrong!
BTW, I saw some vids of it and it looks sorta think... do you find it bulky?

ok cool :) Will get one when my iPhone arrives.

I tried to buy my beauty last night but then forgot that I had not activated my CC so I couldn't buy it :(
Will try again tonight or tomorrow.

Side Note: Have any of you downloaded any of those torrent packs with like 100''s of games? Is it worth it?:confused:

I'd suggest one of two:

Metro home store at vodaworld, they are usually priced the best, but stock might be an issue

or

Dion wired, any of their branches, also some of the best pricing i've seen
