Just to clarify my thinkin process of this Home Share thing in iTunes 9.

Is this to sync your phone on multiple pcs? Am I understanding the use of it correctly?

yea i just read that. but btw, the flaw in 3.1 has already been found and they are working on a jailbreak already :D:D

That is clever. Almost like Microsoft that doesn't release cool stuff for their older OSes.

Hey, at least you don't get a ''genuine advantage'' installation with iTunes. :p

No, this is to sync multiple iTunes libraries on 2 or more computers. Like in my case I have a macbook and iMac - and was able to transfer all my Macbook music to the iMac via iTunes - also works for iPhone applications on 2 computers - can't see any reference to Home Sharing on OS 3.1.
 
You've gotta love Apple. In one week iTunes 9 gets released, iPhone OS 3.1 AND OSX Snow Leopard gets updated to 10.6.1 :D :D

For some reason this morning iTunes decided my machine was no longer authorized after it had started an auto sync. So I had to authorize my machine again or face threat of app deletion. Ironically enough you cannot authorize your computer if your proxy requires authentication. Once I bypassed the authentication the authorization worked.

Im looking to buy my first iphone, but its impossible to get a 32gig 3Gs, but i possibly can get a 16gig 3Gs.

How space hungry are apps? will i use 32gigs?
On my ipod, i currently use about 2.5 gigs of space, my whole library is about 6gigs.
Im just not sure how many apps i would put on my phone and how much space they will use.

Any thoughts...?
 
I don't like the white background for grid view in itunes9, black was better and the sort by bar is gone. not nice.

...but the iphone app management is nice.

Flanjet, I've got the iPhone 3G 16GB and still have 11.2 GB left after copying tons of music and videos to it. The apps are small, range from 300KB to 12MB (Galaxy on Fire game). You'll be fine with 16Gb....and it will be cheaper. ;)

It is very impressive & makes me extremely happy to own an iPhone. :)

*OS 3.1 is an absolute peach! I did a full charge via AC mains, have been listening to some music and surfed the web with it and the battery level indicator hasn't even moved yet. Looking good.

I see the iPhone App store has a new extra....top grossing.

And nr 1 is Quickoffice Mobile Office Suite.....very tempted to get it ($14.99), then I've got my own netbook mini. :)
 
Well my 3GS was sent yesterday from the USA :)
Cant wait... shipping is 3-5 business days so expect it by Thursday latest!
I am going away Thursday so hope its here by Wednesday else I wont be able to use till the Sunday :(
I will install 3.0.1 unless 3.1 is jail breakable and unlock able by then (hope it will)

Why didn't you try to get a Factory Unlocked iphone? I'm loving my push notifications :)

PS: How much did you pay for yours?

Exciting stuff!! I'm pretty sure the JB should be released by then. What happens if your iPhone comes with OS 3.1? :eek:
