Iphone 3.1

Upgraded my ipone 3g, 16GB (Vodacom) to 3.1 on saturday... when 3g is on, the Voice part of he phone (sms, making and receiving calls) dies after some time... the phone itself is working.. I can access the data stuff...(eg. facebook) but if i try and make a call it hangs... if calling that phone from another phone the call is sent directly to voice mail... when i switch 3g off it then seems fine...

Been checkking the Iphone fourms on the net and there seems to be major issues with the 3.1 s/w... internationally that is..

Does anyone know of a nice Filesystem Manager that runs on the iPhone itself? I installed iFile and it does show the entire file system, i can navigate and move around, but cannot create folders, rename/move or delete files... I tried to google but couldn't find anything that does all of this?

Maybe it's because the account I have is a US account, I registered it with my myUS address, when I purchase gadgets etc. from Amazon they ship to SA for me.

Creating a US Amazon account is as easy as creating a US iTunes account.
If you have a US iTunes account then try and create an amazon account with the same details.

Hmmm... will have to try create a new one then. I did change the current address in my current Amazon account to a US one but that didn't work. Will have to create a new one

no, this was a reported 3.0 bug, NOT 3.1, not been reported as an issue on 3.1 to my knowledge

Just to clarify my thinkin process of this Home Share thing in iTunes 9.

Is this to sync your phone on multiple pcs? Am I understanding the use of it correctly?

you're not sharing your thinking, so we really can't tell if your thinking is right....

home sharing allows:

2-5 pc's running the same or different itunes accounts in the same "home" network to copy and share music between each other, manages sync almost the same as it does for ipods, from any one of the 5 pc's, you can sync down only, that is, find music on libraries of other machines and sync them to the one you're working on, you can't sync up (send)

And I dont see in iTunes where I can rearrange my springboard icons...

only on phones/touches with OS 3.1.... when the phone's connected.... under the devices' own "applications" tab.... duh

yea i just read that. but btw, the flaw in 3.1 has already been found and they are working on a jailbreak already

all together now....YIPPPEEEE

only for 3G, 3Gs still hanging in the balance, i'm not hopeful... they have been able to downgrade the 3gs to 3.0 though.... 3.1 is a serious dud regarding functionality and serious issues we're having, mms still just as unstable, still having issues with 3'rd party docks not charging the 3Gs (even though they charge the 3G, or even 3Gs when it's turned off...)

Well my 3GS was sent yesterday from the USA
Cant wait... shipping is 3-5 business days so expect it by Thursday latest!
I am going away Thursday so hope its here by Wednesday else I wont be able to use till the Sunday
I will install 3.0.1 unless 3.1 is jail breakable and unlock able by then (hope it will)

you cannot install 3.0.1 anymore on the 3Gs, apple's not authorizing the restore, only 3.1

My thinking process was in my second line...maybe I never made it clear enough. But thanks for the input
