Shows Apple's new Little 3GS ROM was not to helpful :P Already been hacked:

It turns out the new boot ROM doesn't totally prevent the 24kpwn exploit employed by the Dev Team hackers, but instead just kind of interferes with it. The result? You can still jailbreak your late-model 3GS, but the device needs to be tethered to your computer in order to boot up. It's a major annoyance, especially given how crash-happy 3.1 phones—especially jailbroken ones—can be, but not necessarily a dealbreaker.

Yea I saw that this morning Roland.

Something I have been thinking about, going to do some more research...Has anyone tried to install MAC OS on a Virtual PC on a windows machine and mapped the USB port to the Virtual machine? Was thinking about this this morning for tools like the dev team release only for mac...

Think I may give it a go

wanted to do this to do iphone development, couldn't find anything worth trying

as for the dev team's pwnage tool, you don't actually need to map usb ports even, the tool just creates new custom firmware, which you can then copy to the windows machine and restore to the phone in windows :) lovely :)

if you do get it working let me know, would love to do the same

been considering getting a mac-mini to replace my htpc for some time now, just need to get to a financially stable point again, iphone 3gs set me back 10k, and then two weeks later came the ps3 slim... and then... .well, long story.... lol

I actually managed to install osx86, with Leopard 10.5, on my netbook! so far it only works in safe mode, but thats all I really need right :) I have found the solution to my problem but havent had time to implement it, it should resolve the issue so tha I can boot into normal mode! So far, it runs very smoothly! This will enable me to create my own custom firmware with pwangeTool :)

Expose For iPhone : It’s not a Concept it’s Real

Steven Troughton-Smith infamous creator of Stack turned the Ocean Observations Expose for iPhone in to reality. Exposé is a feature of the Apple Mac OS X operating system. Expose allows a user to quickly locate an open window, or to hide all windows and show the desktop without the need to click through many windows to find a specific target. Last week Swedish design firm Ocean Observations has created a concept video to show how expose might function on the iPhone. And today Steven showcased a working model of Expose for iPhone you can check the video below.

This is not the final UI the, Steven is working on new feature and UI for the expose. We will let you know once it becomes available. Steven is the hacker behind the Stack for iPhone app, Stack is one of the oldest and most popular additions to your iPhone or iPod touch that adds a quick-launch menu to your Dock, giving rapid access to your favorite applications. Stack V3 is also about to release very soon.

Keep us updated!!!

Will do, it was actually quite easy to install, but you have to make sure that all your hardware is supported by the osx86 build :)

But even when running in safe mode, everything seems to work just fine, except sound and networking, but the VGA is still perfect... obviously 3D rendering wont work, but if you only want to use it for pwangeTool then it's perfect.. but ja, I want to get it to work 100%... Apparently all my netbook hardware is supported, from bluetooth to wireless :)

Sometimes it's easier just to ask :) And since you've helped me a lot with the iphone stuff, I didn't mind posting the link :) I'm sure a lot of people would find it helpful.

Roland is human to, he can make mistakes too. Haha jk
