The iPhone Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

Anyone tried any "remote desktop" apps? I am downloading LogMeIn as I would like to access my PC away from home.. will give feedback.
 
LogMeIn works perfect. It is working nicely on Windows.. very responsive and so easy to set up!

Doesnt handle games to well though..lol

I see the TomTom for Southern Africa is on the App store for 79.99$.A Friend of mine bought it and he says its brilliant as good as a gps unit.

If he pays for it and i sync my iphone to his laptop will i be able to get it or would i need to pay as well?

it should work, but your iPhone will have to be synced to his PC in the future as well afaik otherwise it replaces the apps etc when you sync back to your own PC.

There is a hack to sync to multiple iTunes libraries somewhere which you could try (google it)

Or you could just download it yourself :)

I didn't like it to be honest.. Also didn't like the fact that they want you to subscribe to the "Pro" subscription on LogMeIn's website too..

Went for JaaduVNC in the end :) Works awesomely over 3G and Wi-Fi (it gives you a dns "xxxx.jaadudns.com" so you don't have to worry about your IP changing)

Just had to open ports 5900 and 4904 on me router and i was good to go :)

which version of TOMTOM is it ?? , V1.1 is now available
 
Hey guys,

Want to buy some US Itunes vouchers so I searched this thread and came accross a couple of websites. But some of them are out of stock and others no longer exist.

Has anyone bought a US iTunes voucher recently and got good service? If yes, please let me know where

AFAIK mediawob is the most popular... and they seem to have stock

Would I need to jailbreak my phone to install that download?
