if you are getting the 'not signed' error you only need to replace the plist and reboot the phone.
 
I copied the ipa into the Installous 'Downloads' directory and ran it from there.

Throws error - "Script failed. Unable to decompress archive."

I don't want to sync from Itunes because i will lose some apps :(

Any ideas?

sounds like a damaged ipa.
you can try reboot the phone and try again, if you get the same error it's probably a broken ipa.

But then surely if you are at home you can just go to your computer and watch videos or listen to music?


EDIT: Oh and also, doesn't streaming over wifi go through your internet connection?

well i don't always want to sit at my computer!

i can stream my entire music library over wifi to my hifi via the ipod, same for video. And no it doesn't use your internet connection for the data, only for the search and indexing features.

Ok the Navigon starts up, I see the splash screen and then it just exits.....

Anyone know what's going on?

EDIT: Ok I rebooted the phone and it seems to be working...
 
Ok, I may just pull my hair out (and i don't have much left), I have a problem where everything I sync my iphone 3GS 32GB with iTunes, it sync's all of the purchases my kids have done (the free stuff), I have deleted them out of my apps, and they are not even ticked to sync, but they keep coming back, does anyone have any idea's ? I did a bit of googling but nothing helpful ...

I suppose the next best thing is to create a new iTunes account just for me ?

EDIT: Also, within iTunes, the "Automatically download prepurchased content" is not checked
EDIT: Looks like it is resolved, I need to log out of my iTunes Account then it does not sync.

On a side note, I used fxitman's Navigon and plist etc. and it works like a charm ... i also tried out TomTom as well ..

Yes Navigon works now. Thanks fxit_man. After a few brief tests I think I prefer Ndrive (includes Mozambique). But Ndrive does not currently show speed cameras :( - whereas I believe Tom Tom does. Do you guys have a link to Tom Tom?

Works like a charm. Still havent seen a version of tomtom floating around yet.

Appulous are rolling out some tomtom versions but no South Africa version yet. Suppose we have to give it a day or two, but if you want it right now, Itunes store is your best bet :(
 
I've been trying to pair my iPhone 3G 3.1 bluetooth with both my Win7 PC and Snow Leopard Macbook unsuccessfully. Will upgrading to 3.1.2 solve this? Is there a stable JB for 3.1.2 on iPhone 3G?

iPhone does not support bluetooth file transfer.. blackra1n is a stable jailbreak for 3G afaik, if you have a factory unlocked iphone go ahead..

if you want to transfer files between your phone and the PC, use something like Diskaid (over USB) or OpenSSH (over Wi-Fi).. see first page for instructions.
