I know but the Instructions told me to first put the iPhone into Recovery mode and then use iREB to make it go into DFU Mode..... That's what I did except iREB did nothing.

The instructions being - [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bITIiGswjFI[/ame] ??

In the app it says

Do not re-open iTunes! Place your device into DFU mode and select your device below.

Where does it say first put it into recovery mode??

Yes I followed it. And also quickpwn won't detect the iPhone either.

What state is the phone in at the moment?

Is it in recovery mode, DFU mode, or turning on as normal but not activating.. or what?

If its in recovery mode, hold down the power button to kick it back into normal mode. Then put it into DFU mode using the vid and use iREB for white DFU mode

At the moment, the restore failed so when the phone is turned on, it shows the apple logo and then goes straight into recovery mode. The phone won't start, only go into recovery mode.

I followed the instructions to put it into DFU mode, but the phone just stays on an unlit screen and the computer doesn't detect it using iREB or QuickPWN or iTunes.

Yeah thats because the phones in recovery mode. Did you plug it into iREB and click the "fix recovery mode loop" button at the bottom?
You need to get it out of recovery mode first and then put it into DFU

Yes I did that but no response...

Just wanna let you know I'm really appreciative for all your help.

No worries man :) I know how frustrating it is.. Even if it isn't your own iPhone.. :p

Some things to try out:

1. Connect iPhone to your PC/Mac, quit iTunes.
2. Hold Start/Sleep and Home for 10 seconds
3. Let go of Home button but keep holding Start/Sleep until the Apple logo on the iPhone screen shows up.
4. Let go of Start/Sleep, the iPhone will boot

If none of these work, I would recommend simply pressing "restore" in iTunes and letting the iPhone restore to the official firmware. Unlock should remain as I don't think there was a baseband update.. But if it doesn't, it's not the end of the world.. Blacksn0w will be released sooon which is for the new baseband (estimated 4th Nov) if it updates, and then you can unlock it again.

Once restored to the official firmware and it's up and running, try and get the phone into a white DFU mode and restoring to the pwned Custom firmware you downloaded.

Yay, it's working!!!

Thank you fxit_man.

The problem was that libusb that iREB told me to install, it broke all my drivers includin my usb...

Great stuff.

So for future reference, which method fixed your recovery mode problem in the end?

Also, where are you standing now with regards to the iPhone? Did you manage to jailbreak and using what method for others with the same problem.
Not sure about the libusb problem. What OS are you on? 64bit? You could always try uninstalling it or doing a system restore.

Cheers

I connected it to my computer and iTunes detected it in recovery mode. I then followed the video guide and the iPhone automatically went into white DFU mode. Then I just restored with iTunes to that custom firmware, it is Jalbroken and Unlocked!
