For some reason as of today I can't sync my iPhone with iTunes. I downloaded a application, installed into iTunes but it wont sync to my iPhone. Just gives me a error. Any ideas?

Whats the App? Maybe it's corrupted? Whats the error also. I assume you have AppSync. Did you update it? I noticed it had an update in Cydia. Not sure what the update does, but maybe that will fix it.

Alternatively, just use install0us and install it from the phone itself ;) Can install install0us, then copy the ipa to the install0us download directory and get install0us to install it .

I'll check the error just now. I tried 4 different apps.

I have AppSync installed. Am busy now in Cydia to check for updates.

If I use install0us, is it going to work the same way as installing DEB files? Except for this time I'm copying the files into the install0us download directory?

This is the error I get:

The application "app name" was not installed on the iPhone "iPhone" because an unknown error occured (0xE8008001).

Pretty much. If you have Install0us, you can basically browse the app sites like apptrackr, appzone etc. and download the ipa on your phone itself! Then it also installs it on your phone itself, no need for iTunes!

So you can either download it on your phone again, or just transfer your downloaded ipa from your PC to the appul0us download directory, fire up Install0us, go to downloads, and select the ipa you copied into there.

(If you're looking for the dir, the directory is on the top in Install0us)

Hmm... That's usually the error i get when AppSync isn't installed. Can you install other cracked apps fine? Maybe you installed the wrong AppSync? (If you are on 3.1.x, you need AppSync for 3.1)

I tried install0us now. It says the file is not a valid ipa file? Funny, all the files I downloaded gives the same error.

Thanks for all the help so far. I'll try to sort it out quickly.

Hmm yeah that all sounds like an AppSync problem. Did you just install AppSync perhaps? Did you reboot? And are u DLing AppSync from the cydia.hackulo.us repo?

Just some things to think about.

Can I use Cydia.hackulo.us on my iPhone the same way I use Cydia? If yes, how do I do that?

Cydia.hackulo.us is just a source for Cydia.

All the apps you see in Cydia: They are from various different sources such as these. You can get more apps by adding different sites sources in Cydia.

The Source for http://hackulo.us is cydia.hackulo.us, and you can add this in Cydia by going to the "Manage" tab in Cydia, then top left -> edit, then Add. It will then refresh your sources, and you can then search in Cydia for "Appsync"

Cool.

I got the latest Appsync 3.1 from cydia.hackulo.us and installed it. Now everything works perfect again.

I have one last question about the Carrier Logo.

I downloaded the MTN Logo and copied the two files Default files into the Carrier Logo Directory on my iPhone. It doesn't show. Am I doing something wrong? I did put it in the directory 65501.

Oh...my....word. Piesang got an iPhone, after blasting it for a whole year. :)
 
It seems Installous has updated to 3.1.6, so i'd recommend uninstalling Install0us 2.5.2 (as puy0 has stopped developing it).... Installous 3.1.6 works well will syncing the apps with iTunes. I know Installous only uses apptrackr, but you can use SDM to download an ipa from anywhere on the net, then use iFile to cut/paste it into the Installous download folder and then install it in Installous.

Or you can just edit the Install0us install directory to a symlink which points to the SDM download directory like I did ;)

Are you a VIP member at xsellize? They have they own IPArepo plugin for Install0us and a plugin to download from multiple sources too: appzone, apptrackr, appcake etc...

I decided to swop one of my phones for a iPhone 3GS to see what the fuzz is all about and I must say. I'm amazed at what this thing can do. It will surely keep me busy for a few months.

I must notify RPM that somebody has hacked into Piesang's account!

Piesang blasted the iPhone as an overexpensive toy and whatnot for months.....this is a bloody agent impersonating Piesang!
