Back in 2019 I was visiting family in the Netherlands and late on Saturday night I was looking out the window of the flat we were staying in over some empty fields across from the flats. There was a lit footpath between the building and the bushes/farms. At around midnight a young women in perhaps her early 20's walked up that path completely unconcerned and with no other soul in sight. Was a sad moment for me to realize my daughter would never be able to experience a feeling of that kind of safety in a similar situation in SA.

Back in the mid 2000's I lived in Southmoore, Oxfordshire, and would often take my dog for a walk after 10 at night on a trail through the woods nearby. How many times I passed ladies, some of them very young, doing the same, possibly dozens. I often thought "You have no idea how good you have it in this town and still you all complain about everything" as we greeted and passed by. It was a happier time then.

Not everything is picked up by mainstream media. My post serves to highlight the fact that it happens.
 
SAPS will obviously not release information about an active investigation, but I wonder if there are any CCTV street cameras around in the areas where the women disappeared?

It would also be hugely helpful (if it has not been released yet) to see a map of where the 5/6 bodies were found.

Or the perp could be widening the area of operation. If it's a serial killer, it's not impossible but less likely, though. Geographical profiling shows that they tend to stick to a certain area.
