I did a quick airport trip this morning and there's really no extra police presence anywhere.

Less police than normal at the airport.

The South African Police Service (Saps) confirmed that they recovered another woman’s body in Ekurhuleni, bringing the number of women’s bodies found in the metro in the past two months to eight.

Ja - just means the spree has been going on longer than we knew.

Same MO, close vicinity, it needs to be grouped with the others until proven otherwise.


Always breaks my heart when I hear that the body has been decomposing. Was no one looking for her ?

Drove past the Protea hotel on the highway were the one was found comming back from jhb. There was a group of what looked like 10 "detectives" still standing around looking at the grass, that appeared to have been cut? I don't know how cutting the grass now helps with preserving evidence or what they are trying to find all staring at that same spot.

Maybe some political dignitaries are viewing the crime scene.

Is that the Protea in Midrand?

Slightly OT: I have been angry many times in my life about GBV, but I think the angriest was when Bheki Cele said one of the eight women raped in Krugersdorp in 2022 was lucky to be raped by one man instead of multiple men like the other victims.
