If one is splitting h20 into h + o, can this not be done with solar power?
If so, the energy is free (at least in terms of solar power being introduced into earth's "closed system").

Or do I have the carrot by the wrong stick? (sic)

Yes you can.

A friend of mine in New Zealand it doing just that.

He compresses the gas into a cylinder.

You need a compressor to do this though.

This is the most effective system.
Included are the plans and instructions.
I found Bob Boyce's system to be the most effective to produce large quantities of hydrogen.

My first experiments worked but i could not produce enough Hydrogen to power a car.

This system produces enough to power a 4.9 litre engine.

I did make some important design changes to my own generator.
I based my design on this.
The changes i made will be on my website shortly.

If you intend using this, please ensure that you abide by the safety rules as highlighted in red.

This particular system works for engines with a capacity of less than 3000 cc.

If you have a car with aluminium heads do not use hydrogen at all.
Hydrogen and aluminium reacts. You will lose an engine.
