Considering we are buying CFDs from EE and they are buying the actual rights, anyone on EE can probably buy these rights.Rights are only for those who had shares back then when it was issued

True, but unfortunately not.
I called and only those who held shares before last week account's are eligible for the rights
Then why did they sell me rights on the phone. I need to call them to confirm
Doubt this unless you had share before.
I called and asked about this very specifically.
@romi or whatever he's name is can he just also come and confirm please

Huh, what's going on here?!
On OST I have the option to buy the right. I bought 5000 rights as a test.
I'm now sitting here thinking whether I should buy 50k worth of rights or not.

How do I buy via FNB without investing R5000. I just want to get R200 rights option shares.
I take it you bank with FNB then. How do I buy via FNB without investing R5000. I just want to get R200 rights option shares.

Don't you wife or one of your kids bank with Standard Bank? If so they can open an OST account and it usually gets approved within 24 hours.
Either that or take 50 bucks and go open an e-plan account at Standard Bank from which you can EFT to fund your OST account. The reason why its preferable to use a Standard Bank account is that the EFT would be instant. If you can live with the 1 or 2 day delay in doing it from FNB then just open the OST account, send your FICA docs and do an EFT from your FNB account.
You have too much free timeLess than a day if you hassle the call centre![]()

So, now go to securities.standardbank.co.za and register, there's an option to tick to indicate you're an existing SBG client. This will save you the hassle of FICA.I have a Standard bank savings account as well.
