The LONMIN share price thread

Rights are only for those who had shares back then when it was issued
Considering we are buying CFDs from EE and they are buying the actual rights, anyone on EE can probably buy these rights.

True, but unfortunately not.

I called and only those who held shares before last week account's are eligible for the rights

You'll have to pm him or post in the EE thread. This isn't MyGaming. :p

Did you see this post of mine?:

Huh, what's going on here?!

On OST I have the option to buy the right. I bought 5000 rights as a test.

I'm now sitting here thinking whether I should buy 50k worth of rights or not.

And prior to Friday, the 27th, I didn't own any Lonmin shares

How do I buy via FNB without investing R5000. I just want to get R200 rights option shares.

Simple, I bought 2000 shares for .31c from FNB. I don't know where the R5000 is coming from.

On that note, their frees are high for the first 50 trades (I think)

I take it you bank with FNB then.

Don't you wife or one of your kids bank with Standard Bank? If so they can open an OST account and it usually gets approved within 24 hours.

Either that or take 50 bucks and go open an e-plan account at Standard Bank from which you can EFT to fund your OST account. The reason why its preferable to use a Standard Bank account is that the EFT would be instant. If you can live with the 1 or 2 day delay in doing it from FNB then just open the OST account, send your FICA docs and do an EFT from your FNB account.

Less than a day if you hassle the call centre :p

Are there any other shares that experience intraday swings like Lonmin? I know share trading isn't really a short term investment but is "scalping" possible?

I have a Standard bank savings account as well.

So, now go to securities.standardbank.co.za and register, there's an option to tick to indicate you're an existing SBG client. This will save you the hassle of FICA.
