how long does it take to walk 120m twice?

At 20:55 Matthew Oldfield approached the bedroom window of the children to check if he could hear any noise in the room and at approximately 21:05/21:15 Gerry checked on the children. At 21:20 Jane Tanner noticed a man carrying a child going down the road next to the apartment of the McCanns. Slightly further down the road, Gerry was chatting to Jeremy Wilkins, whom he had met at the resort, and neither noticed Tanner as she walked past them to join the rest of the group at the tapas restaurant.[16] At 21:30 Matthew Oldfield went to check the children but saw only the twins through the open bedroom door.

ok a 5 min trip to the kids and another 10 mins walking to the various rooms and another 5 mins back but according to the reports a parent went every 5 -10 mins to check on the kids.

we can also see that all the other parents left their kids alone that night.

It was mentioned that scents could be "planted" but it's difficult to fool these two dogs.
Eddie, whose prime job is to sniff out Cadaver is fully able to locate any individual Cadaver scent even amongst multiple death situations.
Eddie can also be used once a cadaver is known to exist and even if 2 differing Cadaver are in same location for instance he is well able to contact the required victim only.
Eddie has been used many times AFTER other less "eager & efficient" dogs, such as those already trained in Portugal FOR corpse recognition.
Both Eddie & Keela (top spaniels) were used on the successful Attracta Harron case , both are multi talented regardless of UK papers saying that they are only able to do only 1 type of detection each.

and furthermore there is a well documented case on record proving that dogs, in this case, belonging to CSST.org(which owns 8 of the only 12 dogs in the world trained to sniff historical human remains) uncovered in 2007, bones and a personal effects (the smallest being a ring) from airmen who died in a 1944 Navy Bomber crash.
Some Sixty Years after the event.
Ties in well to show that Sniffer Dog Eddie who found the scent of Eugene Zapata's victim over twenty years after the crime (he pinpointed the location where the body was once stored- in a commercial storage facility -evidence ruled inadmissible by the Judge at trial, but later confirmed as correct when Zapata confessed) that Eddie is not just a one time wonder.
If only electron microscopy and gas chromatography tech were advanced enough and were able to confirm samples that the canines detect to cross reference as proof -there would be a cut and dried case that would stand up in court. As it stands, nobody yet knows 100% exactly which cocktail of chemicals it is that the canines process that lead them to their positives. It's not just Cadaverine. It's currently catch 22. Can't id the substances without the tech and vice versa.

• Kate and Gerry McCann leave their three children in bed in their holiday apartment in the Ocean Club resort in the Algarve village of Praia da Luz and head for dinner with friends at a nearby tapas restaurant.

They check on the youngsters - Madeleine, three, and twins Sean and Amelie, two - regularly as part of an arrangement with other couples on holiday with them.

It appears so.

There is a rather confusing timeline here:-

tell me how do you hold conversation with anyone at a table if every 5 mins or less someone is getting up to check on the kids. if there were other grownups checking on the kids then anyone could have killed or abducted maddy at any time.

i was going through those times and it is confusing but it sounds like the parents left the kids alone and to make themselves look good in the authorities eyes they say that they checked their kids every five mins or less.

i say BS it's a cover up and now also the distance is halved, from 130m to 70m.

But what are they trying to cover up - perhaps just the fact that as a group they were negligent parents ?

The Mccannfiles site has cctv footage of the Tapas bar and nobody who has just offed their 3 year old daughter could be cool enough to sit around a table and eat and chat.

If there's a cover up of any kind it's probably to save their own reputations, not to cover up whatever happened to Madelaine.

2 doctors leaving their children alone to spend a night on the town will not go down well for them but if there was constant checking up on the kids and one disappeared then that gets the sympathy vote.

20:00
That evening, Thursday, May 3, at just after 8pm, by their account, Kate and Gerry McCann were having a glass of wine together in apartment 5a on the ground floor of Block 5 of the Waterside Village Gardens at the Ocean Club.

Mrs McCann said she searched the flat three times before screaming 'She's gone!' But another witness, a Portuguese waiter, said she stood on the apartment's balcony and screamed across the swimming pool to where her husband sat with their friends at the tapas bar.

But Madelaine was discovered missing two hours after 8 pm.

sorry don't look at the time. i am trying to get a picture of their place cause they must have stayed on ground level so where does the apartment balcony come into it?

jeez i have typed about 5 posts now and they have all disappeared.

this is a test post.

using another browser now.

let me show you some more BS from eyewitnesses.

21:30 According to the McCann timeline, at about 9.30 Matt Oldfield is the next to check on the children. Remember Gerry McCann says he had closed the bedroom door, but Matt Oldfield says he finds it open. He doesn't go in the room, he sees the twins but can't see Madeleine's bed. Because there's no noise he assumes everything is okay.
21:30 At 9.30, Kate got up to make the next check on her children, but Matt Oldfield was checking too, as was Russell O’Brien, and Matt offered to do Kate’s check for her, which she accepted. Gerry teased that she would not be excused her turn at the next check.

In the McCanns’ apartment, Oldfield noticed the children’s bedroom door was again open, but that meant nothing to him, so he merely observed all was quiet and made a cursory glance inside the room, seeing the twins in their cots but, agonisingly, not directly seeing Madeleine’s bed from the angle at which he stood. Afterwards, he could not say for sure if she had been there or not. Nor could he say if the window and shutter had been open.
21:30 Dr Matthew Oldfield left the table and offered to check the McCann children. In his first police statement he said he merely listened at the door of apartment 5a but later said he had gone in and noticed that the room seemed lighter than the others, as if the shutters had been opened. He cannot be certain whether Madeleine was there.

now tell me what you see in this picture and read the black highlighter pieces above.

More food for thought -

The pressure to conform to a tightly-policed version of ‘good parenting’ explains why the McCanns can now be criticised for making the perfectly reasonable assumption, shared by millions of other parents, that it was safe to leave their children asleep in a hotel room for a short while. The ease with which the spotlight of suspicion now falls on parents also explains why some are ready to give credence to stories of their involvement despite the lack of any evidence.
