didnt need him i dont think

give anderson time he is young and will soon be a feature of united

united needed experience out there not a hot headed 19 year old

as much as i think anderson is a great player i dont think he should in the champs league final yet as we need our most experienced players

I'll take Tevez with 2 broken legs instead of Giggs. The guy just cannot do anything anymore.

you know the thing is hj, nani is so talented by he is alot like ronaldo

good talent but has not been refined yet

i remember ronaldo could not deliver a final ball in his first season either

im sure nani will come right and show the kind of form i have seen on youtube video's

is it just me or does nani seem to be so slow, alot slower than i have seen in past united games

seems like he has lost all his pace

Ya. And recently he really was showing promise. I don't know what has happened in these last two games where we really needed everyone to perform :(

I feel much the same about Anderson :p

you conveniently forgot how Anderson kept our midfield strong almost the whole season. I guarantee you, if he was still around past few games, we would have won the league already.

Just read on News24.com:

Scholes sends United into final
A stunning goal from Paul Scholes has given Manchester United victory over Barcelona to set up an all-English Champions League final in Moscow.

VERY COOL!!!!

My co worker CJ is going to be highly irratated when I see him again, I'm going to rip him off something cronic!
He spent all day going on about how ManU are going to lose ;)
HA! :)

I am almost 100% sure CR will be winning the golden boot now. Even if he does not win any silverware this season, he surely achieved more than K a K a and Messi , what you guys think ?

Have you guys even seen Messi play??
By far a better skilled player than ronaldo, he won man of the match in both games against Manu-U and was only half fit.

Commentators were amazed that the ball seems to be glued to his feet and eveytime he touched the ball the crowd went softer knowing what was too come.

I hope next season he stays fully fit, being only 20 we have a lot more to come from him.

dude, how many goals did Messi score this season ? How far did Barcelona get in all competitions ? Did Messi feature in all those games ? Think before you go blurting about who is better than CR. Its about what a player does to help his team win trophies.

Messi has been plagued with injury this year, has scored 6 champs leagues goals and 15 league goals. Also do your homework, messi isnt a striker, so your point about goals is pointless.

Barca have achieved far more trophies while messi has been in the team than ronaldos with Man-u.This also includes a champs league cup.

You talk about trophies yet man-u have as yet won nothing, i wouldnt talk so quick considering u one draw/loss away from not getting anything.

ACCORDING to his peers in England, Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo remains the Premier League's outstanding player.

But when it comes to the world stage he may still have to bow to Lionel Messi.

It is Ronaldo, not Messi, who will grace the final of the Champions League after the Portugal international, voted the Player of the Year by his fellow players for the second year running, helped United to overcome Barcelona in their semi-final yesterday.

No one, though, could have done more than Messi to try to influence the second leg at Old Trafford - apart from match-winner Paul Scholes, who scored the only goal of United's 1-0 victory.

The 20-year-old Messi, three years Ronaldo's junior, was the outstanding attacking player on show and almost single-handedly led Barcelona's attempt to claw back Scholes' early goal and take the 2006 winners through to Moscow with an away goal.

Though United defended well, they could hardly lay a finger on the bewitching winger who rode tackle after tackle to try to create the decisive opening.

One typically elusive run and shot in the first half had United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar at full stretch to save.

DUEL

Thereafter, the Argentina international picked and probed at the United backline to create openings for team-mates which they were unable to take.

Not that Messi is really bothered at his rivalry with Ronaldo.

'More than a duel between me and Ronaldo, this is a game between two big teams and will be a very interesting match,' the Argentinian star said before yesterday's game.

'I try to do the best I can for my team, but who is better, is something for the people who watch football to decide.'

The consensus now seems to be that Messi is better.

Ronaldo's tally of 38 goals this season, including seven in the Champions League, represents an outstanding return.

And, at times, he has proved almost untouchable.

But the effort of leading United's pursuit of a domestic and European double appears to be taking its toll.

And while there was no questioning his commitment to the cause in close to 180 minutes since missing an early penalty in the Nou Camp last week, the United star failed to hurt Barcelona.

What he does have, though, is another chance to state his case in Moscow on 21 May.

An occasion that Messi can only watch and wonder. -- Reuters.
