The ones in the supporting role are called MIDfielders.


He was lucky to have ronaldo there this season as his failings as a striker were not as blatant as man-u were still scoring goals thanks to ronaldo.

If his job is to support. Sadly he will never be a force to be reckoned with in world football. If all he does is assist and score occasionally. He will be just another average player who contributes and has a good work rate.

I still would not call him average. He would walk into the starting lineup of most teams.

As much as you push that stance it will never stick. NEVER EVER!

Strikers are goal scoreres and nothing else. They do not provide support. The only time they provide support is when they cannot score and happen to pass it off.

Strikers are strikers! No team hires a striker to assist.

I dont want to slate Rooney. His performance won United the double. But he just not what people tipped him to be.

Dont let me start on the other United players :D

Ill leave that for another day.

That's what I was thinking. Over the two legs in the semis, he looked the most dangerous Barca player, and he didn't start either game :eek:
 
i think henry was the only oke who looked like scoring and he only had a couple of shots :)

yet he sits on the bench

maybe poor management
