interesting thought, as nuclear tests were sometimes done underwater.
and the radiation was detected, if one was to do it that deep, obviously the pressure would contain most of the blast, and yes the radiation would kill a lot of fish.
maybe awaken the kraken, but would the blast be enough to start an earthquake.

i doubt it would cause an earthquake.
and it certainly wouldnt reach sea surface either, too much pressure over such a long distance.
Certainly not the nukes that have been built so far, maybe build a bigger nuke

Depends on the yield I guess, doubt it would cause an earthquake unless it's a monster bomb inside a fault line. Then again I'm no expert. Either way it's a bad idea to mess with the kraken and potentially cause a breach into hollow earth

Looks like a cross between a octopus, elephant and hippo. Like something out of the book Footfall. Given the state of my toe I think the Mariana would evacuate should it ever meet my left big toe
 
This post reminded me about the SeaOrbiter which is still under construction. This marine research vessel is only likely to be completed by the late 2020s and that is whether they will still be continuing with the program.

Space pressure and the Mariana Trench pressure are not even close. So yes I can believe that statement
