The Mazda CX-5 Thread

Expected 6.5s 0-100... That's brisk, GTi rivaling stuff... but will come at a premium for fuel.

If the 140kW diesel does just under 8 seconds, but at much greater fuel economy and more real-life usable torque, then I think it remains the one to have. Would like to see a comparison from a country where both the 2.5T and 2.2D are available.

At Last! The 2019 Mazda CX-5 Turbo Gets a Turbo! (Snowy First Drive Review)

Very nice to see the explanation of the Turbo Design...

Dear Santa...

If Mazda SA would just sell me the new usb port my install would have been finished already. I'll probably import it before they eventually release it, what is there to test? Mazda has rolled it out worldwide, the hardware is identical in all countries and the software comes straight from Mazda. MazdaSA has nothing to test!

Sigh, i guess they will eventually release it so there's that

I agree, they have been telling me the "test" story for months. I asked the Spares department to look up the part numbers, nothing listed on the system. It seems the only option would be to import the parts, not badly prices in the US, however ebay wants to charge $60 import duty to SA over and above shipping and the item pricing.

If we could figure out a cheaper way... The AUS firmware 4A N, 70.x, the same we use is available, so only the parts are needed.

Don't go the ebay route, Amazon has it listed from time to time. Will be safer and cheaper.

Updated Mazda CX-5 includes new range-topping GT Sport Nav+ trim

Revised range of mid-size crossovers comprises 14 models

The addition of the range-topping GT Sport Nav+ trim to the CX-5 line-up is in reaction to the popularity of the current top-of-the-range trim Sport Nav+.

Mazda UK boss Jeremy Thomson said: “The fact that over 80 per cent of CX-5s sold in the UK are Sport Nav+ trim shows that our customers value the superb blend of luxury and equipment offered by our high grade models, so with the introduction of the GT Sport Nav+ we now have a new model that offers even more exclusivity and interior comfort for discerning SUV buyers.”

The new trim is available in both front-wheel drive 163bhp petrol and 181bhp all-wheel drive diesel powertrains. Marked out by 19-inch alloy wheels, the inside shows the biggest difference over lesser trims.

Wood and satin chrome on the dashboard and door trim inlays match the standard leather and black roof lining and there is white LED illumination and a frameless rear view mirror.

Also unique to the flagship trim is a seven-inch colour dial display and a unique steering wheel design. There is also a host of other equipment including front seat ventilation, heated outer rear seats and sunroof.

The new CX-5 starts from £25,595, a price increase of £1900 over the outgoing entry-level model. The range-topping model costs from £37,195. The top-of-the-range variant of rival, the Ford Kuga, costs £37,135.

Hey guys, I damaged my rear right light and wanting to replace it. Slight paint scratch next to light, but nothing to worry about for now.

Not keen to use my insurance to replace the light and fix the slight scratch, but do you think I should just buy the light myself and replace it or just use the insurance and pay the excess.

Car is still under warranty with Mazda till may and another 2 year extended warranty with Innovation.
I have the 2015 CX-5 2.2 Akera Diesel.

Would appreciate your feedback and where I can get part numbers for the rear light to make sure it's the correct part.
